I want horse combat system with armor upgrades and customizations. We already have the targeting system in place, if you want to build on a already great game lets upgrade it, not create the "same thing" just new areas and armor?! Im not saying the whole game needs to be accessible by horse, in some cases you will need to spot the horse out side the cave, or befor you enter on the cliff ledge. This would be a true challenge for production, but if they did it, would set the bar in multiplayer combat. or you could just make a similar sequel to turn a quick buck like everyone else.

Check it out. It looks like all the people who were afraid they would nerf the difficulty to bring in casuals can rest easy. It appears that the difficulty and the feeling of dread are well intact.
I would like to see more of what Demon's Souls was good at...more difficulty...more complex and mysterious yet logical and accurate stats, abilities, and items to decipher. I like realizing they had stats for everything, even stats you don't see, like poise. I would like the combat to likewise follow suit with these new abilities, new attacks, and new stats and become increasingly more complex. More mysterious atmosphere with top tier voice acting for every NPC. That was Dark Souls biggest weakness in comparison to demon's souls and the weakness of many successful games, they don't improve on what they were good at. There were so few new moves or attacks between the two. The mechanics were virtually the same. It was great that they gave a larger world to explore which was one aspect of an improvement of demon's souls, but also give more spells, more complexity, kind of like how castlevania improved in castlevania 3, there was a huge change in the battle mechanics of the three new characters you could play, while retaining the old stuff too or how WoW constantly adds new moves to its basic classes. I don't want them to lose what is already good. Just be more creative and add to it.

hey guys, which is better in the RPG world? dragon age series? dark souls series? or the witcher series?
this is one of the best series i have play in a loooooong time, so excited about ths upcoming title
so this is probably on next gen systems and imagine the freaking graphics!!!!! if with fugly ass engine they used for two Souls games still captured an amazing atmosphere imagine how it'll be if it looks better than TW2... holy f*k i think i just juzzed
I find it pretty incredible that I am excited for a sequal to a game I could not even
finish. Well done frm software and keep on keepin on....
real excited but unsure how itll come out.. fingers crossed.. just started dark souls ng+ im friggin dyin' ova' hea'
After Demon's Souls, I had never been more excited for a release than I was for Dark Souls; I'm sure this will be just as epic. These are the greatest RPG's ever!!!!!!
Im getting all giddy inside thinking about it, must meditate and/or drink myself into a stupor to stop the intrusive thoughts! Dark Souls 2! Ahahaha ! whooo!
i want this quite hard. only thing that would make it better is if it was 1: Demon's Souls 2, and 2: it was coming out on Wii U...:P better be a Wii U version!!
if this game has easy mode, it will not be as good as the first .. which made dark souls the best game ever was its difficulty ...
holy mother of god, it's unbelievable how far video games have come, no doubt this game will be one for the ages, i hope! loved the first dark souls.
Its disturbing how there's no PC logo at the end of the video.
I really hope they'll release a PC version at the same time as the others.
hmm, 1 of my favourite things of demon's souls 2 was that it wasn't called demon's souls 2. wonder why they do this now? how bout 'devouring souls' or sth?
Considering less know of Demon' s Souls compared to Dark Souls... Slapping a different title might create confusion or even bias. Perhaps, it's to lower expense in marketing so to easily advertise that it's a sequel to an awesome game.
Basically, they title it Dark Souls II and there's instant apple-pie to order.
DS ll - Oh hella ya!!! can't wait for it.. hoping this summer. But if anyone wants to have a good fight PVP mode - come to meet "INVADINGKNIGHT" in PVP mode - i promise to give you a fair fight...lol
I can't wait to play this. I found every single thing in Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, end I STILL couldn't get enough. Please release this tomorrow *twitch*
man dark soul is a hard but the best RPG game i ever played in my life before i played darks soul demon souls was like the best game ever then dark souls released and now DARK SOULS 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when i beaten demon souls.let alone beat the first boss..never been I felt so accomplished..i played my share of games..almost hard core gamer..but this game gave a different feeling.. trying to start Dark Souls but im afraid to =))
...And just as I thought the first game had finally released me from it's inescapable grasp, I see this! Damn you From Software, my girlfriend HATES you!
Very excited about this, and although the CG trailer really gives nothing away it's simply great to know that we get experience mass murder all over again, I'm kind of hoping we get the chance to import our characters from DS1, we shall see!
Awesome news!!
i couldn't get into demon souls,or dark souls, and while i may get flamed for saying this,if they do make dark souls 2 easier, ill give it another go. In the end,i play games to relax and enjoy them, not to be made irritated and angry...

@iTrollnoobs @thegamegod They can make it easier without catering to the demographic your applying to. A lot of the frustration a lot of people had with dark souls was the fact stated above, there wasn't much narration. If you took the time to read some of the written material in the game, you would find out some of the secrets to help reduce the difficulty. There isn't many games that still use book,s and things like that, to hide the secrets to a puzzle, or a monster's weakness. I think the last game (other then dark souls) i saw do this was Dragon Age (not the second, the first one),
@thegamegod For me, yes it can get frustrating, but when you overcome almost anything in that game, it feels accomplishing more then pretty much any other game. I do see where you stand thou, I know many who never got past the tutorial level because it was too difficult
@Munkeesuncle i can understand that feeling of accomplishment, but i just felt very little reason to keep playing,i guess the other reason was because of the lack of narrative,i had no reason to care where i was. (i got the the skinless dragon thing in the sewer for reference.)
@thegamegod The narration does seem to be lacking heavily, the game depends on you to look for lore and figure out the story yourself, which too can be hard because there's no time to stop. I loved the story but not tell i finished the game and saw the whole thing.
