I'm a PC gamer that also has a PS3, I've been waiting for the PC version of this just so I could use the precision of a mouse-keyboard. I'm so clumsy with the controler that I would die too many times. Now I can sit down and imerse myself in this gorgeous game, this is all Diablo 3 should've been... redemption!
You sound like you wouldn't know a good game if it spit you right in the face. Rebind keys and use lockon and it's PERFECTLY playable. I killed the first three bosses without dying once. Graphics are fine with the resolutionfix which also hides the cursor.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

The blowback is expected. Don't you know?
Some people will refuse to appreciate Citizen Kane just because it's in black & white
Some people will refuse to appreciate Dark Souls just because of lack of HD or 60fps.
At least they actually work.
Remember when any BF ever came out and people would QQ over the server disconnects? The lag? Origin installation? Balance issues? And the inputlag on the consoles? Remember people QQ about WoW balancing issues? Servers being unbalances? Servers dying? It becoming too easy and dumbed down? It becomnig boring with little endgame content? And last but not least Dark Souls on pc works PERFECTLY FINE! :O surprised? Yes! It actually works PERFECTLY FINE! :O pc gaming has ALWAYS since the dawn of pcgaming been about customization, mods, patches and updates. Dark Souls is no exception. A resolution fix is here. A cursor fix is here. Keyboard works FINE and controllers works fine. 30 FPS you'll just have to live with - for now.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

Totally agreed. Man! I've never seen something like this since the ending of 80's. Poor controls (you can't use any joystick only xbox's, mouse's button configuration in keys is not possible, etc), do not hide or lock in window the mouse pointer (this is basic game programming concept), fight with more than 2 in lock on mode is confusing (something solved in Skyrim and Amalur), HUD dates from 1985, etc.
I believe that the game should really be very good in console, but they threw anything to satisfy people's appetite.

You miss the point... many bought the PC version bcause they did not want to use a controller, they bought the game to use the mouse / keybord combo. Telling them to use a controller and expecting to sound profound is just blind.
Also, I read... just go and download a patch written by someone who is not part of the DS support team to repair the game is suspect at best, no one should ever have to rely on user patches to play a game or fix it upon release, no one should have to jump through hoops to get a pleasant experience, no one should have to be told to use hardware from a console to play a PC game which is touted as a PC version with mouse / keyboard support.
The game failed on these counts, there is no defending this... it was a bad mistake to release a PC game in that condition to buyers... but this is simply part of a trend by developers, to create a flawed product for the PC, then get fanboys to scream at unhappy buyers to get a PC controller... or better yet, get a console, and there lies the money shot.

I dont get why peoplewould want to play this game with a mouse and keyboard. This game is obviously meant to be played with a controller. First off, controllers have analog sticks, how are you going to walk slowly with m&k? Press W lightly? There is an actual use for this feature in this game, you can walk slowly to get behind enemies and backstab them without being detected. Secondly, I don't see any ways you can map keys in a ergonomic way to have access to movement, attacks, etc at your figer tip, you have one hand dedicated to the mouse(camera, locking) and another hand for everything else. With a controller, a thumb is all that is needed for movement, and it just feels so right to have your left hand on left shoulder buttons and right hand on right shoulder buttons.

As someone who have beaten the game thrice on the pc version and need only one more playthrough for platinum, and have been lurking on lot of DS threads at steam and here, I'm here to write about a few points stated in this thread.
60 fps would just make the game's animations glitched because the current animations were designed for 30fps, different from 60 fps games you don't get half speed or any issue with the locked 30 fps of Dark Souls, I can say even otherwise, a few places would get noticeable slowdowns in certain areas in the console versions, here most of these are gone.
The DSfix is called that because a reason, it works and very well, and is being updated frequently, you can hide the cursor and the camera issue most people complain about can be fixed by the DSMfix, if you don't wanna bother downloading and applying those which takes about 5 minutes why do you even bother coming to forums just to badmouth?
Someone mentioned that only a xbox controller will work, I can say that's a lie because my first run through the game was with a generic logitech usb pad (hell, the button layout got a bit mixed and I had a bit of trouble getting used to it because I had already played the console version), and then I bought a xbox controller for the second playthrough just so I could play this how I was used to in the consoles.
The devs from the game said they didn't have any experience with pc and they had low budget, they made a identical port from the consoles so you can't tell it's a bad port (it would be if it was worse than in the consoles), since the devs don't have the experience for patching the game you can't expect a lot support from them, if you can't trust the community that sucks for you.
If anything people should thank the dev for bringing these to a new platform and try to please their fans instead of what most publishers are doing with their customers (EA, Activision is a few that comes to mind instantly).
^^This.^^ All you sheep rambling on about DSfix and saying "just go buy a gamepad, lulz!" have left me all but speechless. I don't give a good goddamn if the devs had no PC programming experience. They aren't handing this game out for free. They want money for it. If I buy a boat, I don't expect to see tires on the friggin thing because it was originally a car designed for roads. Don't know how to program for a PC? The hire programmers that DO. But don't dare piss on my head and tell me it's rain then have the audacity to expect me to pay you for it.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
