Dark Souls Save files haven't been loading...
- Oct 13, 2012 9:55 am GMTSo, long, but extremely puzzling/frustrating story ahead. It all started when I updated Dark Souls and then choose the option of not logging in(play without saving) however the live screen came up just after that and I logged in. Upon loading the game, the save file didn't show up, I quit the game, logged back in, and still no results. After researching this problem for awhile I came up with the idea that it may have to do with the fact that I changed my gamer profile, yet, I was able to load the game after that. Nevertheless, I switched the files, messed around with them, and eventually I gave up and created a new profile, I made it to Anor Londo, and turned in for the night. The next day, no dice, no files were able to load. However I do have an issue I believe to be solvable, I messed this one up on my own. Upon screwing around with the files, I mistakenly chose windows as a start-up for the save file. Is there any way to get it back into an Sl2 file? I don't think I'll be able to save when the file is in this format. Is there any way to retrieve my two other save files? I did have two similar files stored in each folder for each account, but none of them yielded success...I may as well give up playing Dark Souls altogether if this is messed up as bad as I think it is...
