Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition User Review
- Difficulty:
- Hard
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Old-school"
this game takes me back! It has that old castlevania feel to it. no map, lots of varied enemies (I hate when you feel like your fighting the same enemy, re-skinned, over and over again,) good boss fights (again nice and varied,) hidden rooms & treasure, nice balance to the game (you didnt feel like you were to over powered, or way out gunned...even though you die alot,) lots to explore, and replay value.
the game wasn't with out its faults. it ran a little choppy. also I didnt care for the low resolution graphic's...at first. after awhile i liked the gritter look, it added to the nostalgia! I did find a community made fix. which helps the frame hiccups, and made the texture resolution go up. it also allowed for some textures to be added which was nice. I would like to see some official fixes, and add-on's.
...Now i just need a large flaming whip!!

Immensely imaginative, intensely immersive, but irksome and inaccessible, Dark Souls is a bit like heroin.

One of the best games ever played, Oldschool hard game not like nowadays games that you end in 1day.
