I absolutely loved the first game, so imagine my joy when I found out that Darksiders 2 was coming out. I was like a child! Put it into my xBox, and here is what I found.
The game is very well polished. Usually when you put a new game into a console, there are some issues. Either graphic or some odd annoying thing with the gameplay. Throughout the game I can only think of 1 actual bug that was present.
That said there is much to be desired for some of the controls. I did get frustrated at times when Death would just jump upwards and not to the side when I wanted him to, while scaling a wall. After a bit of practice though, this is easily remedied.
I'm not a person who likes an RPG game. That's probably why I didn't score it higher. I hate picking up and equipping looted items. I am also not a major fan of side quests. But the rest is fine. Good amount of upgrade options, most of which you probably will never actually be able to fill up. I made it to level 21 myself, and I didn't unlock all the upgrades.
The graphics are awesome and so are the puzzles throughout the game. I'm a big fan of this kind of puzzle game. Stuff like Tomb Raider and Uncharted also fall nicely into this "like list".
What I didn't like was the fact that every person you meet wants you to go find you 3 things so you can get access to the next 3 things you need to unlock a door to one of the 3 things you are looking for. It's annoying. Like really!
It's a great game, even though the missions are pretty monotonous.

Being a huge fan of the original Darksiders, the only appropriate word I could say is 'disappointing' actually.

Even with its repetitiveness, this game is awesome and additive.

THQ brings the next Horseman to life with style, and a bit of an RPG element added to the action and puzzles
