Theory about Darkstalkers 3 Online

Just thought of this today. Although there's been no mention of Huitzil, Pyron and Donovan, do you think you that they'll be available in Offline modes or player match? The reason I ask this is because in 3rd Strike Online, Gill was available and wasn't playable in the arcade version at all(to the best of my knowledge unless you used Twelve's Copy Super Art.) Same deal in MvC Origins in both games. MSH had Doom, Thanos and Anita. None of them were playable in the arcade version. In MvC all the hidden characters were in it except Onslaught. In the trailer to Darkstalkers Resurrection it said 18 playable characters, and in Darkstalkers 3 in the console version there are 18 playable characters. Maybe in Rank Match they'll only have the 15 playable characters in the arcade version only. Just a theory.

Well, that would be awesome (especially if Dee and Marionette were also included), but when the games were first announced, a Capcom rep stated that those five characters were not in the version of DS3 included in Resurrection.
It's possible things may have changed (maybe it's even why the compilation was delayed), but Capcom hasn't said anything that would dispute their earlier statement.
I do hope that the characters are included, though with options so that people who don't want to use those characters won't have to face them online. I know that if they don't include them, I'll still buy it to support the series, but I won't be playing it very much, since I already have other versions of the games with more content.

I doubt it. All of the characters in MvCO were playable in the arcade version of the game with cheats. Gill wasn't playable in SF3 but he was actually in the arcade version of the game. In VS, none of the missing characters were anywhere to be found in the arcade version of the game.

I won't be too sad to see Pyron and Huitzil forbidden from online play. Those two characters are some of the biggest pains in the ass to fight of any Capcom fighter.
