When I first heard of this game the first thing that came to my mind was... zombies... been there done that. Then a few hours later I saw a video on this site called DayZ Diaries, I went to get something to eat and then played the video.

I found out its an arma 2 mod and the graphics are old but not too bad, then the person on the video started by saying that the game is a sandbox set in a post zombie apocalypse where you are a survivor and start the game with nothing but a flashlight some bandages and a painkiller.

Right there I stopped the video and the first thing that came to my mind was sandbox where you are a survivor. Thats alot more interesting than just zombies. Right after that I decided to give the game a chance. (I bought the game and set it up with the mod, I suggest finding a guide for that on google)

I then found a server and started playing the game, when I got in I had not a single clue of what to do so I started exploring (the game has no tutorial.. the mod is in alpha stage) I saw some houses a couple of meters from where I spawned, so I went there only to find 2 zombies coming out of the house and they started chasing me, ( they run as fast as players do) died 5 minutes later to a horde of countless zombies ( the more I ran the more I found... There was a train of death chasing me)

After my death I spawned again and then found out on the right side of the screen there is an eye and an ear and the faster I moved the louder and visible I was... so yeah I had to die once to figure that out. I died alot more times just to learn how to survive.(wont tell you how, find it for yourself)

And just when I tought I had understood some of the game bang! another player kills me.. so yeah you have to watch for zombies and for the biggest threat... other players!. When you die in this game you have to make a new character all the stuff you had stays with your dead char, so you can loot back all your stuff but so can any other player. That alone made my next life very exiting, this is a game for those that want a challenge and not for those that want a friendly fun adventure or a fast paced fps. You will need alot of patience (you might end up dieing alot) but if you want to experience fear, excitement and so many more feelings this game could be a new experience to you.

A few hours ago when I was playing, another player tried to kill me in a big city but thanks to the daytime he could not see me when I ran away (this game has night time, and like in real life you cant see anything when you dont have a source of light) he shoted me and I was bleeding but I kept on running until I went into the first building I came across but he kept on chasing me, he could not see me but he could hear me, I went into a room only to find out there was no exit so I was cornered and alone in that dark house.. the only weapon I had was an axe that I found in a barn a few minutes ago.. so I turned around and proceeded to chop this man that was chasing me, he shot back and after a few seconds he was laying on the ground.. dead. I then realised I was shaking in real life.

That experience was some of the most awesome stuff that ever happened to me in a game.

So far I think this game has a very steep learning curve and you will pay with your own life in order to master this game.

And thats how the last couple of days have been for me in this game. The game can be very harsh but it also makes my heart pump so fast.. I LOVE IT!
