Took me forever to get used to analog controls but so worth it... Was getting bored with the game halfway through my first play through, went analog and still having a blast at 3rd run!

Wow @shaunmc.. I was wondering if I could endure all the bugs of these game but that video just sold it for me, techland should put it on their site. Can't wait to get a zombie some spaghetti arms.

hmmm I just might do this actually, a lot of hate on this game; and i see where it has its flaws but I still find it enjoyable.

I haven't given the analog controls a try yet, but I was having fun (way too late into the night) using the digital to slice off arms with my cleaver. I may have spent more time killing zombies and running around like a spaz than doing quests.

i am almost done beating the game for the second time (game plus level 40; gamertag on ps3: HadesRealm666) and I still can't get tired of this game... and yes you CAN chose body parts to slash/break with digital controls; also besides fighting swarms in pools; in the later levels like the city of Moresby; jump on the hood of a car and crouch; most zombies (except rams) can't hurt you in this position so you can just cause copious amounts of damage with almost no risk, it also gives you time to pick your shots in case you want to make some linguine zombie arms... ;p

I just wish breaking/cutting off legs wasn't an auto kill. It'd be cool to have them crawling after you. (Not to mention that I think it'd be hilarious to see a zombie like a turtle stuck on its back. )

I now want that game.

Why the heck do they show all the game footage with the damage and XP displayed. It completely takes away from the survival horror that this game does such a great job at. You CAN TURN IT OFF. I will admit that the first two hours on the beach are not that immersive...too much sunshine and happy things. Everyone will love the city and the jungle. Thats when the real fright begins.

I love this game. I am very glad I got it. It is even more fun with friends in co-op!

Well i don`t agree !! this game is fantastic - I was never bored with slashing zombies - actually I can`t wait to go home to get some more - this game rocks - hmm and I must try this analog way of control - looks even more fun

I liked Dead Island but in the long run made me bored to death. Im zombie fan , huge zombie fan in fact . But this game made me laugh... I was kicking zombies and killing zombies with kicks alone till lvl 8 where i unistall the game... Weapons broke? Come on... Well not bad try but for sure bad execution.

Like poopinpat said, you can already target specific parts of the body with the digital control scheme. It's strange seeing a right to left swing take off a zombie's right arm and not the left, but meh it does the job.

I always jump in pools to fight swarms. All you have to do is jump kick them and they'll drown. Way too easy.

@s_h_a_d_o Check out the Achievement progress on the side of the screen at around 12 seconds... "Tis but a flesh wound!" Hehe.

haha that was pretty good. You can do all the same with the digital controls you just need to position yourself right...might check out the analog controls though looks fun.

Analog is way better than digital. There's nothing more satisfying than having an infected make a b-line towards you and cutting it's head off with a timely katana swing. Also, POOPOOFARTBOX69 is the best gamer tag ever. Spoiler: it's not really.

A Trick I learned: When driving around, if you encounter a Ram, hit them while going in reverse.
