The reason I'm against it is because the DLC gave loyal DOA fans an incentive to buy at launch. Those who didn't care to get it within the first year don't deserve the DLC costumes.

This is about the most conceited, poorly thought-out crap I've read on this site in a while, and that's really saying something.

Thanks for sticking up for the cause guys. But let's not make this a personal thing. I'm just glad that we have supporters out there.

More like dumb crap. You'd think a loyal DOA fan would get the game regardless. Anyways, I think all DLCs should be released within a year. It is a nice incetive to get the game at launch, and when sales are going down, release them again for the fans of old and new.

You seem surprised that someone in the 3ds' target demographic (8-15) actually has the system. This petition won't do anything. Team Ninja has moved on to Doa5, as well as a more powerful handheld which is getting an upgraded, console-quality version of said game. Maybe you should as well. Dimensions is DOA Lite, anyway.

I agree that Team Ninja has moved on and probably won't be swayed by this petition, but that's no reason not to try.

Another great, legitimate reason for them to put them back up. I can't believe anyone would be against that.

I don't own a 3DS but, I do plan on getting one and DOA.

I think Tecmo-TeamNinja should atleast sell the the dlc costume on the Nintendo Network.

Those who got the game at or around launch get the incentive of free dlc while the rest can give Tecmo-TN money for those costumes

Oooh, we're up to 86 now and we've got more foreign support it seems. Perhaps my links might have reached more ears...err, eyes than I initially realised. XD

On that note, do you think the end result for this petition will actually get anywhere? I dunno, is Tecmo willing to let 100 signature do the talking for the whole community?
  • Mar 15, 2013 3:57 pm GMT
I don't know if it would represent the whole community, but I am hoping that we can get even more people to sign it, enough to at least draw their attention. At the very least I would like it to give them an incentive to redo the spotpass stuff in other regions other than just Japan. It would be nice if they came out with a more permanent way to make the content available to current and future DOA gamers.

I've been seeing that people who have upgraded to a 3DSXL have sometimes been having trouble transferring their data over. And there are always people who lose or break their 3DS or lose their copy of DOA. I would hope that they would take notice of these factors as well.

And for those who did have the spotpass data during the time it was released, I would please ask that you would sign it and help the rest of us out here. If nothing else than just to be nice to other gamers. If we were to get a redo and then have other gamers come out asking them to do it again, I would definitely give them my support.

Thanks for putting it up! Hope we can continue to garner support.

While I wouldn't really prefer this as a permanent solution, the least they could've done was do what Nintendo always does in these situations: give people the ability to trade costumes/figurines and make it more of a social experience past the multiplayer. It, at least, would have given everyone some kind of opportunity to make up for it in case it never came back.

Either way, I don't understand the reasoning behind only redoing it in Japan and not everyone else; this game was released in multiple territories, some of which had a very limited release based on poor sales expectations (I still feel bad for Europe and Australia for missing out on KT's games as a result).

Just wait for the 3DS to be hacked. We're almost there. I started modding my consoles precisely because of crap like this

Does Nintendo actually keep track of what people put on their e-shop wish lists? Maybe if more people put DOAD on their list (even though they may already own it) it might encourage them to do what they did in Japan in other regions if they see more people putting it on their lists.
