Great game - let down by its frustrating boss fights.

- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 20 to 40 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Almost, but not quite"
I was a great fan of the first game despite its annoyances, but capcom have gone back to add more, but sadly fail to notice to take some stuff out.
You'll be glad to know that they've improved the gun controls to a gears of war style. and the combo system works a treat.
Its highly addictive when playing in sand box mode, riding on my little tricycle, hammering down my hordes with a nailed bat.. perhaps adding a machine gun to a demented talking teddy to create my own sentry gun...
..But sadly it fails when it comes down to boss fight just like the first you'll be frustrated after pumping rounds apon rounds into the heads of bosses - and dont get me started on the end game boss, just like the first game it all comes down to fist cuffs, why?? I just want to know what happens in the story please dont burden me with frustrating boss that have been designed round testers who after playing the game for 6 months have found it all too easy.
But if you can fight your way through these little issues you'll enjoy the rest. a great buy for those who love their sand box titles.
Overall
You'll love..
- The chance to quartize zombies in any way possible way
- The compelling story, wtih some tender family moments.
- A much needed gears of war controls for gun controls
- 3 save slots! (although 5 wouldn't go a miss)
- a fantastic customization system. (yes...you can even make a light saber people)
You'll hate..
- Annoying bosses that'll turn up
- having to remember to take a leak once in a while (save points)
- a slightly frustrating groundhog day system.
- some slightly annoying zombies that turn up later.

An overall fun game for the most part, ruined by timed missions, still a fun game to play from time to time.
