This game is the most satisfying out of the entire series?

I have done a PERFECT run of this game...by myself no less. I didn't use the books got the chainsaw, but I still did it.
After some planning and what to expect and rushing, the feeling it's so satisfying.
I did a perfect run of DR2 and OTR, but the satisfaction wasn't there
Now as a gamer, I'm how proud.

I noticed that myself. Sometime before DR2 was even announced I ended up doing maybe seven dozen playthroughs of the DR1. I then did a cluster of challenges and felt like I totally mastered the game after I succeeded in my selfdubed "super perfect" run, achieving 45 of the achievements in a single game on a new profile.
Anyone that recognizes me could probably tell I was overprepaired for Dead Rising 2; but I didn't expect to get Ending S and Hero on my first blind game. That game just left me wanting for a challenge, and there were really few weapons that were somewhere between the line of overpowered, functional, or jokes so self-imposed challenges were limited in DR2, and there wasn't much stressful timecrunches to shoehorn. around I didn't even get OTR because its selling point was the less restrictive, less challenging, more mindless play encouraging variation on infinity mode.
It's fun just to pick up the game go right to the auger, disembowel a zombie, shower in its blood, and spin it around; killing other zombies and dismembering it at the same time. It's fun to do; even to do similar things for hours on end. But a mindless slaughter game just doesn't have the same kind of staying power a game with strict limitations on success on several fronts.
I sure hope the foreseeable DR3 either balances the two design concepts better, or has a difficulty options or a debug mode or something. Because I really really do love this game.

Same here, and I think that's why I had a hard time getting into DR2. Though I can see the appeal of making the game easier to appeal to a wider audience, I agree with you about adding multiple difficulties. That would allow new players to ease themselves into the game while also giving veterans an appropriate challenge.

I think it is also the protagonist was worse in DR2, he just didn't seem to make the same fit that frank did in DR1. Plus the fact that you had to get zombrex so frequently seemed like a needless chore to do vs something actually useful.

Unfortunately during its release many people disliked how hard the game's AI was and stuff like the save system even the critics (though most of the critics were casual). So of course they had to fix things for sequels or else people would be mad. Not everyone can be pros you see. I've seen dozens of dozens of people say Sandbox mode was what DR should've had to begin with and the biggest reason to get OTR.
