And it was freaking awesome. It completely dissolved the sour taste that RE6 left in my mouth. It's the perfect blend of action and horror, I forgot just how good it was. If Dead Space 3 can get anywhere near the level of Dead Space 2 I'll be happy.

It really is the perfect blend. Theres nothing I would change, well other than having severed on the disc instead of the very unfun Extraction. Nine play-throughs, & I'm still not done.

I thought the original was better, albeit not by much. The 2nd one took the action a *little* too far for my liking, but it was great nonetheless. I really hope this entry doesn't go the way of RE6, completely forsaking its horror roots and turning it into a wannabe blockbuster.

I played through DS2 about 9 times. I played through DS1 about 8 times. I plan on playing through DS3 just as many as both, only COMBINED!
Mua ha ha! I am unstoppable!

I tried playing a new run of DS1. I got as far as the first save point before getting bored and turning off.
I've played so many times its not enjoyable.

DS2 improves on DS in nearly every single way. problem with DS2 is that you're having too much fun to be scared.~sc0ttmst

The DS games would be a lot more replayable if they had randomized enemy spawns and more enemies could follow you from one room to another (i.e., if an enemy is actively following you to a new room, the enemies supposed to spawn in don't until the enemy following is killed).

If enemie spawns where always differnt that would be awesomeeee less predictability but probably would take alot more work

I'm sure quite a few enterprising coders have already dissected the "Director" code used in the Left 4 Dead series (it directs random monster spawns) to use in their own games already.

IMO they improved everything with DS2 over the first one. The first one was amazing and they actually pulled it off by making the second one that much better. If that is any indicator then this third one is going to melt your face off!

Really enjoyed DS2, except the last chapter which was not so good.
I'm a bit worried at the direction they have gone with DS3 but i hope its still great.

I played through DS2 three to four times. Conesecutively. That's how much fun I had with the game. Here's to hoping DS3 ends up being just as enjoyable, if not more so.

I am currently replaying DS2 again because I originally beat it on PS3. What better way to hold me off for DS3 than to play part 2 and get achievements as if I never played it before. The only thing I don't like about part 2, and it's not that big but it does make me worry for what they might want to do with 3, is that towards the end they throw infinitely respawning enemies. They act like, "Isaac get out of there! You can't kill them all!" I really don't like that.
