The Gun Show gets its hands on the crafting system of Dead Space 3 and makes necromorphs scared.
Wow, this was boring as fuck. It's so awkward and boring when you know for a fact the guy is trying to be funny, but the material he's using and the way he is delivering said material is GOD AWFUL. Guns were very interesting, but the dude just annoyed me.
the commentator on the left was kinda of a p***k..he talked about this subject from his own personal view...and thats not how u treat a subject like this one...you have to be unbiased...but anyway...personally i didn;t like this video
ps: i have used this gun since i first started the game it has been a loyal friend more than carver i have fully pimped it to mark v parts and 3+ 3+ chips
heres a gun thats a a crowd pleaser
name: nicoly tesla
upper tool:telemetry spike tip: rail accelerator
lower tool: electrocution module
attachment 1: none
attachment 2:electric charge
chips: upper focus on rate of fire and clip size for lower focus on reload and damage if u put the reload on lower it afects reload for both top and bottom
this gun is accurate powerful and gives you the abbility to make traps and take out hordes with one shot if you have questions about it my xbox gamer tag is fennec937
Narrator should get another job. He takes his 'bits' too far. *facepalm*
Interesting guns though :)
Fantastic game.. insane immersion, gun options, and very very cool.. ignore the haters.. this is an AWESOME title once you get pacing down over first hour or two
Dead Space 3 is pretty good. Don`t know why people are bitching about it. Yes, it is easier than Dead Space 1 and it has more of a fast pace horror/shooter than a true horror feel. Still, it is better than most horror game out in the market and the weapons crafting concept is pretty interesting. The co-op part is pretty good but, you will need to boost the difficulty up a notch if you want a challenge.
I think they should have implemented a system as in Demons Souls, where you can drop your custom made blueprints throughout the game for other players to find and pick up. Also, did anyone else notice that the difficulty is lower than compared to Dead Space 1 and 2? I also though that Dead Space 3 was much less scarier than Dead Space 2, and especially Dead Space.
@gbuster1a This crafting system coupled . universal ammo does make it a lot easier. Although try making some of the original weapons and using those without upgrades, it gets way tougher.
Oh, one more thing. I don't have proof exactly, but just to make sure everyone knows this as well; make sure that if whatever statistical slot you have full all the way is, well, full, don't keep putting circuits on it, 'cause it won't go up anymore. I tried this with the clip size, and one of the weapons I had could only go up to fifteen; I took a clip circuit off and put it on, and it was the same.
So as long as it's at the top, that's as far as it can go; so find another circuit to use if it's already up. Hopefully that makes sense. I mentioned the clip example, but the reason I say I don't have proof other than that is because I'm not sure if it works the same for all things. Anyways, hopefully that makes sense, if it doesn't, have me try to clear that up.
I personally would keep putting damage circuits on if it kept making the weapon stronger, but since some of the weapons are already powerful enough to have the bar go up just enough to make the statistic full, I can find something else, like rate of fire and what have you.
I wish you could name your weapon builds... or maybe you can we you craft a blueprint to share. Because the shotgun aka my Boom Stick (Bruce Campbells Evil Dead 2), with rate of fire, damage perks is an insane weapon.... This game is Epic! looking forward to some more DLC for teh single player story.
Here is what i made and made the necromorphs to know fear
Heavy frame, with two telemetry spikes one with repeater (machine gun) the other with conic dispercal (shotgum), with the trusty acid bath mod, i propose you try this out, never found anything even close to the power of this boy.
You know ur not playing a survival horror game when it has a gun show episode on gamespot.
@Prats1993 I will say this, since I don't believe anyone has mentioned it yet, while this isn't a survival horror, this game actually has a much wider potential to be scarier than two. If you liked two for its horror, then this'll be even better. Yes, it does have a lot of action, and it's kind of crazy in that way, but it's also a lot more intense than two ever was in my opinion.
I love two, but even on its hardest, it was never scary; just with the first few hours on the harder difficulties in three, when something jumped out of a vent, it got pretty spooky and I was a little apprehensive. So basically, Dead Space 3, scarier than two, but also has a lot more action than the other two. I should also mention, this game gets way better on its second playthrough.
It's not anywhere near bad on the initial, but it's just not quite as fun, and by then, some of the problems you do have are kind of lessened.
I'm only up to about Chapter 10/11 in the story, but I'm starting to get into the weapon crafting- always trying to make things past the classic plasma cutter- to be honest I found the regular plasma cutter quickly becomes redundant.
Currently I'm rocking a submachine gun (military engine with a tip I can't recall right now) with a shotgun on the lower tip (military engine and conical dispersal tip) for anyone who gets too close, with the stasis attachment on that affects everyone you shoot- useful against both Necromorphs and humans.
And my other weapon is a two-handed rip core like the classic weapon (default tip) and a pneumatic torch on the lower tool, cause burning stuff is always fun. And the ripper is very useful against Feeders (the skinny Necros who attack in big numbers cause they're so naturally weak). Oh, and I stick the electrical charge attachment on just for the hell of it.
I really love my weapon: military engine with a repeater tip and below - a telemetry spike with a dispertial tip (I think this is what it was called)
Hey, I want to make sure everyone knows this. When you're at the weapons crafting station, you can press triangle or Y (or whatever else it is on PC I'm sure), and pull up the downloadable content screen, wait for it to load and then go to the resource packs, every single time you have enough ration seals, you can keep buying them; just make sure you don't actually buy them with money, ha ha. Yeah, I just wanted to mention that for anyone; this'll make it a lot easier to buy equipment. I hope I'm not stating the obvious, 'cause like me, hopefully there'll be those that didn't know about it right off the bat.
@NTM23 Yeah, I looked at the DLC screen myself and know about ration seals now- why I make sure I always use my scavenger bots when I can, cause I think that's the only place to find ration seals- you can't pick them up normally like other resources.
@norman69 I don't understand why anyone wouldn't use them. You hear the beeping noise; go to the area and set it down. I use it every time, and I'll keep on using it even if I already have everything. The three you get is also enough as well so you'll never feel like you're out, or if do, you feel like you're going to be getting a lot of stuff from it.
I do wonder what the personality thing is though; I mean, is it supposed to be funny? There's something very weird about some robots, either real or fictional, that I find very adorable about them. It's probably the innocent look they have as they do their business.
I always felt like everything was super underpowered unless it was the shotgun. I tried almost every different type of weapon but on hard the enemies move so fast that you either have stopping power or you're immediately swarmed.
I had a single shot rifle on top and a high damage shotgun on bottom and literally used that the entire game because I felt like everything else was shit or had tiny clips. I mean I had a pulse rifle at full clip upgrade and it only had 25 rounds. That was barely enough to kill 1 necromorph.
Edit: That acid gun looked pretty cool but worthless above normal. You were firing it so close to you I can't believe you weren't killing yourself. I guess the splash damage is pretty low on normal.
The weapon that allowed me to beat the game on hard at the first playthrough, without using ANYTHING else:
Frame: Heavy
Upper tool: Military Engine
Upper tool tip: precision tip
Upper Attachment: damage support
Lower tool: Military Engine
Lower tool tip: pulse fire
Lower tool attachment: acid damage
Both weapons have been upgraded with circuitry that enhances their fire rate and clip size.
In short, you end up with a short-to-extreme range weapon that packs the punch of a sniper rifle for big profile targets (like regenerators/wasters/the snow beast), and with a pulse rifle, that is perfect for crowd control.
Does anyone know if you can craft a spike, like in DS2? You can impale necros to the wall, etc. Anyone seen that yet?

i think some weapons are umbalanced, i kill enemies with the military eng + rail acc + MKll eletric charge faster with less ammo than anything else in the game.
This weapon is wicked
Heavy elite frame
Upper tool: Testla core
Lower tool: Tesla core
Upper tool tip: Precision tip
Lower tool tip: Compressor
Attachment 2: Acid bath
Once maxed damage with upgrades up ya clip, spd etc and then its sweet.
Bossing my way through impossible mode with the bad boy on chapter 8 and ony died once.
