I like most think it's just going to be (more or less) just another FPS! That said I really, really, really think it's a good thing that there trying a (NEW) IP! It's like Please someone, please come up with something else besides another Halo/COD...... well you get the picture! It's like how lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng can they keep milking this over & over & over again, oh I know it's very simple because ppl keep Buying them, over and over bottom line is it not!
Is it really going to be something totally new? I think most of us, even those of us who think it will be a great game, believe that it will be mostly the same gameplay mechanics as games like Halo. Yes?
@TheSwiftShadow I believe that's called marketing. A lot of businesses seem to be doing it.
3 Like The universe and story they created look great. I do not care for their smartphone app or casual bullshit they obviously have going on. I also find this statement extremely arrogant and insulting:
"We did a bunch of ambitious things on Halo deliberately to reach out to people," Jason Jones told us. "We limited players to two weapons, we gave them recharging health, we automatically saved and restored the game -- almost heretical things to first-person shooters at the time. We made the game run without a mouse and keyboard. And now nobody plays shooters the way they used to play them before Halo 'cause nobody wants to."
It's not like we have a choice: every goddamn shooter uses these mechanics now and no it's not better.
In fact halo did well . but copying it's gameplay by other company s had token "choice" from us .

Damn this does feel good. But I will miss Bungie scripting the Halo series.
If they can make ODST a game without Masterchief and make it work, i hope they sprinkle some magic into Destiny.

maybe ps3 is still powerful but when sony stops supporting it every one should leave ps3 to history .
