New biochip?

Any weird story angles to getting the new biochip? I'm assuming the 'new' ones are the ones that the guys in the opening animation were talking about.. and I'm not so sure that I want one of those in me, y'know?

If you take the new biochip from the limb clinic, all your augmentation is disabled during third boss fight if i am correct, making the fight harder. opting to skip the new biochip also lead to FTW situation right before the fight
