Devil May Cry 2 Video Review

I liked this game. I don;t know why so many people didnt.

I dont know about everyone else but I like this game, its a bit dissapointing if your expecting it to be like the first one but its still cool.

This video game actually looks better than it seems.

Devil may cry 1 and 3 were the best games ever.

A 2 yr old could beat dmc2 its to easy even on the hardest difficulty it should be where E.T. is in a landfill collection dust.

people i have the game. it sucks. u dont even need it to understand the game. it just plane sucks. what a 6.2 they sghould have givn this game a 2.3

Some games are badass and some games are just ass, this one is the latter. I remeber how dissapointed i was with this game when i first got it . And that skyscraper part at the end of the game, what were they thinking? (as the AVGN would have put it). Somehow i feel that the new DMC game coming out have taken the same step away DMC4 as DMC2 did from the first. Dante began as a goth inspired rocker and transformed with DMC2 into a silent EMO punk. From what i see the EMO look is back with DMC5 and i'm not that optimistic.

I just got Devil May Cry 1. I haven't played it yet, but I hope its good.

Not the worst action game ever, but when compared to the standards set by it's predecessor it's very disappointing to me.

Im a fan of the first one but this one took it down for me when i got to the tank part in the city i kinda got boared it took forever to beat and t was not very fun.

i like this game but because it was too darn easy i say it's low tier out of all the DMC games.

@gue2 Dude, that would be an AWESOME name for a "re-quel". (Yes, I made up a word) Also, Arius looks a lot like that guy from Tekken. You know it's true!

@by_my_scythe i also agree with you and the story i found it a little weak and slow, look at this it is a 2 dvd game anyone would spect it to be a little bit longer instead of using the other disc for lucia, oh and lucia... i would really love if lucia would had some really cool movements. this game has some serious problems because: 1-some enemys looks uninspired and boring. 2-most of enemies attacks are cheap just like them. 3-some enemies have to much life and they're not much fun to figth ether 4-some boss figth are too long and so on but hey for me it was a good game at least for the firts 3 weeks, now i just have it to complete the collection. if only it had a remake "Devil May Cry 2: The Good Edition"

@by_my_scythe i completely agree with you, I loved the combat but all the levels felt empty.

Good concept, but you feel to alone in this game, you're not cooped up in a castle like before, but you're in a huge city! Where are the people?! I also realize that this is the future and Dante is meant to be portrayed as more mature and reserved, but now he's boring! It would have been a top notch game if Dante was still a badass. He should have trash talked more. I loved the acrobatics, and gun play mechanics. I'm a little bummed that some of the actrobatics didn't make it into DMC3. 7.1 is my score.

This game was very bad compared to the other Devil May Cry games, but still fun... at least for a little while.

While this story and the "Style" of the game didn't match that of the first, it was still a good game. I think it just flopped as bad as it did because people looked at it in comparison to the first and well, different directors, different visions. This was still a good game no matter how you cut it. Just think of this as the "Black sheep" of the series. It's not what you'd expect from the family and it's a bit quirky but it's still a good game at heart.

I hated it. I didn't like the gameplay, or story. It also had bad graphics, and why the hell did Dante always flip a coin to make decisions.

I liked it too. Dante's outfit in this series is the best.
