So I've known about this series for a long while, but never took the time to play it for myself. I've heard good and bad about many of the games in the franchise, so I thought I'd ask which games in the series you would recommend, and which ones would be ok to skip over.

how are you going to buy the games?
On the PS3 with the collection + 4. Then you might as well play them all. Only 2 is skippable and its not really a bad game. Just a bad DMC game, since it removes almost everything that makes the DMC series unique.

DMC 1, 3 and 4 are really good. DMC 2 can get boring after a little while. Might want to save that one for last if you do decide to get it. It's a little fun in it's own way.
