Dude, how the hell is it fair that none of my guys get revived and I gotta take her down again. I just barely killed her before. Didn't feel like doing it again so I quit for today and started playing DmC to blow off steam.

Did you update your game? If not, just item glitch dupe and get some gladiators or something.

Ya i did. I'll probably have to grind to get stronger but honestly I didn't feel like at the time.

She's almost the hardest boss in the game because of that one stunt.
I like to lure her closer to my base panel with one very sturdy character using Defend (I had a tier4 Armor Knight which had Advance Guard evility. A bit overkill actually).
Once she's close to your base, deploy everyone else and beat her down.

This has been another (probably) uselessly informative post, by me. Booyah!

Have you tried abusing the Heart Cannon?

Lol I used heart cannon to take her first form down. Then she did two counters and Truly Goddess weapon and killed Val and Fenric.
Second round everything feel apart cuz i didn't have enough strong guys to do the heart cannon team attacks.

Did you try using 5-2 and the EXP glitch to level?
Jan 26, 2013 6:24 am GMT
There is no EXP glitch.

This guy is not what he pretends to be. He's the Devil.

no offense but it's stupidly easy to get OP strong in these games. Just go into the item world, boost up some weapons and get some levels, go back and destroy her.

I hate the item world, I don't like how you can't leave without using a Mr. Gency exit (I patched the game so can't duplicate).

Lvl. 99 enemies give the same EXP as lvl. 323 enemies, so ignore what Corkadile said.
And if you don't like the item world, then you're playing the wrong game... EVERYTHING post game requires heavy use of the Item World.

That method hardly requires any effort at your current point in the game though. If you have a unit with a blow effect attack (Fenrich as a fist user), you can blaze through the Item World and level up your weapon without getting touched (though you'll need tower throwing to reach the gates). If you can kill the item general on the 10th floor, your weapon will get a nice stat boost, which in itself should be enough to trample Des X.

Level 99 giving the same exp as a level 323 is NOT a glitch, its how the exp to next level works, hence why he said its not a glitch because he knows what hes talking about. The way it works is that a level 99 needs the same exp to reach level 100 as a level 323 needs to reach level 324, just like level 999 gives more exp then a level 1000 etc.

I'm only playing the game casually, i'm not gonna go hardcore and necessarily play the post-game content. I might just stop when it ends. I'm enjoying it tho, but i'm definitely not taking full advantage of all the resources at my disposal.

Throwing people from towers sounds really smart, I could skip so many levels that way and quickly level up my weapons.

Hey everyone, thanks for the advice. I went to item world and threw everyone around from towers to level up my items quick. I then raised enemy levels and grinded on 5-2. I also boosted my skills. After that I fought Des X again and completely owned her, and her minions.
I'll probably do this again if I get stuck on hard enemies.

It's what you should be doing in general. Once postgame rolls around you'll need to be strong enough to take down Level 1000+ enemies. I just cheated and used the incredibly broken Tyrant Val and Overlord Prier though.

That'll propably happen by half of Chapter 10. But by then you'll have unlocked a stage called Concrete Knowledge in chapter 9 that is actually better than 5-2. In fact, just by putting some generics in that symbol that shares 10% of the exp, you'll be able to unlock the bills for every class in the game sans Android and the DLC ones such as Celestial Host and Kunoichi.

Not a bad game, really.
