The Disgaea series fans are very loyal. Many people cant understand why we like it, but this is the best of the best of all RTS around.
The formula is the same old: you go through the main story, level your characters, level your items, and then you level some more. If you like grinding and building strong characters, this game is for you.
This is also the weak point of the game. Although the graphics are slightly better, and the monster characters play a much important role, it still feels like that the game could use a more serious revamp, even more characters, new classes and new dynamics. Unfortunately, this is not the case.
Disgaea 4 shines when you build a good team, with monsters and humanoid characters, allowing you to explore new possibilities and new powers. The game supports itself in a strong dose of japanese humor, so you can expect a lot of weird stuff happening.
Its a game made for fans. If you are new to the series, I would recommend renting it first before buying it.

Built on the previous games, but some annoyances here and there muddied the game for me.

A good game with a quirky nature! A bit to complicated to drag in more than the hardcore strategy gamer.
