Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten User Review
A good game with a quirky nature! A bit to complicated to drag in more than the hardcore strategy gamer.

- "Worth playing"
I have never played a Disgaea game and was never really watching for it. I saw an ad for it a while back and decided I needed to give it a try. I went to a couple game rental places and they said it's a nitch (spelling?) game and would probably never have it in. So I went out on a limb and bought it. I was drawn to it in the ads by its Final Fantasy Tactics like battles. I was figuring it would be nothing like Tactics buy hey, no good renditions of that series have come out so whatever.
I was right it's not like tactics other than as a general concept of battle but I like it! It has really challenging things like going deep down in the item world where the locations that you stand can make you (or your enemy) invincible among other things. Let's just say you really need to be awake when you play this game. I did a lot of "damage" to an enemy and had taken a whole lot before I figured out I had actually done nothing to it!
The way the main character is setup is great! I love that he has a ridiculous obsession with sardines! That in and of itself is evil quite apart from him just plain BEING evil. I am not wordy when it comes to reviews but I would just like to know who's idea it was to have the Prinnies say "DOOD!" every 2 seconds. I would like to smack them.

Built on the previous games, but some annoyances here and there muddied the game for me.
