"Overrated"

This game starts off quite well, but after a while it gets pretty boring and very repetitive. I feel like they really dropped the ball as far as the story goes. There is very little character development, and you find you really don't care much about anybody involved. There is never a reason given for any of the events that transpire. Your encounters with "The Outsider" are odd and serve no real purpose. Much of the story element and the various "powers" seem slapped together for no real purpose...and the ending..lets just say it's rather abrupt.
The game play isn't bad however, and the controls function well. The save anytime feature is great. You can use stealth or just muscle your way through the game, but it's nowhere near as fun or satisfying a Deus Ex was. The comparisons to Bioshock are not good, as Bioshock was a much better game with a much better story. I guess it says a lot about how poor the games of 2012 were if this is rated as one of the best. An entirely forgettable experience.
