I came into this game with zero expectations, and I am enjoying the hell out of it. If you are comparing this game to the old Devil May Cry games then you are dead wrong. This game is called a re-boot for a reason. Looking for a harder game? Crank the difficulty. Looking for a better combat system? Good luck, because this is one of the best out there. Looking for the same kind of game the other DMC's were? Look somewhere else, because this game is WAY more stylish than those games could ever hope to be. This is a great game by a developer who has made many so-so games. This game is going to put Ninja Theory on the map.
One of the only downsides to this game would have to be the story, and maybe even the character of Dante himself. He wasn't as well written as I was hoping and he seems kind of shallow. Let's face it though, It wasn't really the story that kept me moving through this game, it was the action. I always wanted that triple S rating at the end of the mission, and to do that you need to find all of the levels secrets, along with doing damn well in combat as well. Was it a hard game? Not as hard as the other DMC's, but if you crank up the difficulty it's pretty tough. After you play through the game you unlock a harder difficulty which is a must play for fans of the old games. I won't write much about this game, but from what I have played it is damn good. All fans of action games NEED to look at this, because it is probably the last great action game that is going to grace this generation of consoles.

DMC may have a new coat of paint but this Devil May Cry reboot is far from a disappointment.
