- The Bottom Line:
- "Worth playing"
I have been a big fan of DMC series since it was firstly released on PS2. I never missed them and I can say all the first 4 series were amazing. This new series came up and again I was amazed. It offered a new atmosphere and new theme that we had never seen before. I can say this DMC is delivered in CLEVER ARTISTIC at some stage I was like "WOWW" this is truly a creative work.
So here's my review:
- Story: The story was great and easy to follow. The previous DMC series had more complex story that this one but this is ok. Score: 7.5/10
- Graphics: I played it on PS3 so there was an issue with the frame rate but it was not a big deal for me. Especially when you see the graphic of the environment, bosses, etc they were really wonderful. Overall the graphic looks great :) Score: 8/10
- Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty solid it still retains the gameplay from previous DMC series, which is great. However I felt they should have put more boss battles into it. The reason why I purchased the game was because I always loved to fight huge size bosses like I did in the previous series and I expected the same but it didn't. Probably this is a let down for me but despited that everything else is good. Score: 8/10
- Verdict: Solid gameplay, you always feel satisfied when you can perform those stylish moves and reach SSS rank and in this game you will still experience that feeling. Overall I give this game score: 8/10

Well balanced game play, keeping of some elements. Evolved narrative but lacks that dramatic strength and anticipation

Game play is as the last installments of the the series. Boss battles are of repetitive nature

I don't understand the bad reviews, It's the only recent game that gave me that fresh feeling that has been long lost.
