- "Old-school"
Okay, so Doom 3 came out in 2004, and now, they've remastered the resurrection of evil expansion, included new 'lost missions' and thrown in doom 1 and 2 for good measure.
I played the Doom 3 campaign, and then the resurrection of evil (I'm nearly finished) and I have to say, they're very good overall. I think that the graphics live up to today's standards and the gameplay is intense, so you don't know what's going to be around the next corner. The save system is handy too.
I haven't play the lost missions though.
Doom 1 and 2 are a nice bonus, and I had a lot of fun playing them. The dated look doesn't bother me.
The only problem I have with it is the multiplayer. The servers are pretty much empty, and when you get a game, it's 'first to the best chain gun owns the game'. It's a pretty unfair system.
Also, I wonder why they didn't include co op campaign for two people, because it would be a lot fun to play the three campaigns with a random player or my best friend. But that doesn't bother me too much.
Plus, as it's currently £12 and $23 on Amazon, it's definitely worth a go.
Buy this game knowing that you'll have a lot of fun, but don't expect to be able to play the campaign with someone else.
