@jimboweskar-didn't they already provide us with that feature in the first game??? And the game is looking great. Waiting for March 8th.
Sounds wonderful. They're working hard to improve and expand, instead of just do again. Makes me happy.
A lot of what they're trying to do sounds what they did from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2. Who remembers Mass Effect 2? I do. You want to know why? IT WAS F*CKING AWESOME.
And perhaps Bioware will also give us the option to change the difficulty at any point in the game cuz I can remember having to switch to an easier difficulty at one point in time on the 1st!!
Wow! Impressive looking game. I really have high hopes for this one. If Bioware can do what they did in the first Dragon Age they will have won me over. And I think they will do that in this one and do it better!! Guess we will get to find out March 8th!!
@themonk1237 You can choose looks, gender, class and skills... plretty much like you can choose in Mass Effect. You can no longer be non-human or choose background. But it's a good trade-off since now Hawke is fully voice acted, imho.
Will you be able to create your own character or is it just giving you a guy to play as?
Will you still be able to create a custom character, or will you be forced to play Hawk all the time..?
the people complaining about the changes are so conservative and disgust me. DAO was great but the combats was dull so I welcome a faster paced more action oriented gamplay.
@ omers12 I dont think they'll neglect the grey wardens completely. We are supposed to use the save files from DAO to pump the DAII background. So, your favorite DAO character will have some impact. And your fav DAO character was a grey warden. Interesting thing is that the save file potentially have a lot of impact. Alistair could be the king of the whole Ferelden... or a martyr, for example. I want to see how this feature will work.

WHAAAAAAT! i absolutely looved dragon age origins, i honestly gave it my whole summer vacation. CAN NOTTT wait for this come out!!!!
I wish people will stop saying that the main character is Morrigan's son. Come on...have you really been following the story of Origins and listening to this story? Also, it would be nice to see a bit more facial expression in the characters.

I didn't know about the signature edition, had to run and pre-order at gamestop right away.
It is just crazy how it just starts with an idea and then evolves into a epic game like Dragon Age.
I can't wait... I'm so excited about the party members and the story. Time for some new romances! Hope they still got the Bi-curious thing going on with the ladies.

@gjergjiand Sorry to burst your bubble but Hawk is not Morrigan's son because The beginning of the game is when Lothering gets attacked so thats still far from your gray warden having a child with Morrigan It would also not make sense because what if you did not have sex with Morrigan. ***Spoiler*** This explains about Hawk Proving he is not Morrigan's child Hawke's father was an apostate mage, who died several years before the beginning of the game, while his/her mother's maiden name is Amell, who are nobility from Kirkwall. Hawke's sister Bethany is an apostate mage also and is available as a party companion. Hawk also has a warrior brother named Carver. You get Bethany if Warrior or rouge you get carver if you are a mage. Remember I warned ya :p

This won't be the end of dragon age, this is a growing game with a bright future, just by planing part one i know that this is gonna be just as good if not better than the first, This will have a broader range of accessible elements that all and all make a game what most of us want, fantastic. I hope they don't change to many things though I'd like to still feel as if I'm playing the core foundation of Dragon Age Origins.
I understand how they are tweaking their combat. It's likes how they changed Mass Effects combat. I think they're just trying to make the combat connect a bit. They're just trying to make it not feel akward like when the character slashes their sword only to flinch 5 seconds later and to ignore it and just keep attacking. As for Hawke's armor though, I hope they don't just suit us up with it for the whole game. I liked Mass Effect 2 armor customization concept but it felt too limited. Don't make it even more limited with just that suit of armor, give us more!
