I would be upset, but I was planning on getting this for the PC.....This is the PC board for DA3 isn't it?

Or are you just upset about the delay? That does kinda suck.

Not so much the delay as the move to next gen, since I'm not an early adopter.

    Oh well.

Good all around article, but very interesting to note that Inquisition's writing team is mainly women. I think this means no more Isabella.

Sandal & Bohdan are some what confirmed if you played DA 2 Bohdan says the Empress of Orlais is Interested in Sandals enhancement abilities so this confirms they will be in 3.

New is a 10 Man Squad.

New is 4x World Larger map said to be like a Skyrim or Fallout type of deal meaning explorable massive seen in screenshots.

Ths IGN.com article isnt by the source on the 2014 date my game site I get my games from has the game listed for TBD 2013 and has a description for the game showing it for the PC, PS3, and 360 systems.

New is Castle, Weapon and Squad Armor Customization

New is Background Origins even though we can only be a Male/Female Character such as DA 2 done now we can pick from Origin Backgrounds to switch the game up such as Inquistion & other backgrounds. They will change the story & the dialogue based on these backgrounds.

Also we can still only be 3 Classes - WARRIOR, ROGUE & MAGE such as DA 2 had.

New - Arena MP Style Combat deal where we can even be a Dragon.

Hawke & Warden will be seen in the Game if we have files from Origins & 2 imported more than likely Cameo deals such as Drunk Allistar in 2.

Flemeth will return in 3 unknown if she will be diffrent or what but she is confirmed.

DA 3 could be Dual Generation such as God Eater 2 meaning Next-Gen & Current Gen such as God 2 is with the PSP & Vita.

Morrigan is somewhat of a Rumor but based on Origins ending deal if you read it wills say she is heading towards Orlais with Child but I assume this is only possible if you done the Dark Ritual with Morrigan.

The Chantry is about to Fall, The Templars have left & now are on there own, The Mages have Rebelled, and Mysterious Portals have sprung up across Thedas letting loose hoards of Monsters, Demons, Darkspawn across the land.

And now Civil War in Orlais also the game is set 10 years after Origins but all 3 games are in the same time line.

I will find more but right now the info is on a dry spell.

I hope your info is reliable whatnow. All of those changes sound interesting.
I really want to play DA3 on my PS3.

I found some info from Whatnow and found the info on research found it through various other sites about some of WhatNow mentioned from the 4x World Map, Customization and also Castle Customization.
I also found where WhatNow mentioned the release on a gamestore showing DA 3 listed for the 2013 release date deal.
Some I dont know about such as where WhatNow talks about Sandal & Bohdan but after replaying DA 2 I saw that part during cutscenes. could be a possibility unknown.
Our saves will matter to those saying our saves are useless now might wanna hold on to these I also think just like how WhatNow says about the Dual-Generation deal it could be for both Generations so WhatNow could be right.

I think WhatNow is a little Hardcore when it comes to Dragon Age & Mass Effect though so WhatNow probably spends to much time or has to much time researching the crap out of the game.

I do appreciate WhatNow's efforts on digging the info out for us when IGN.com has been dropping the ball on Dragon Age 3 news WhatNow seems to be the person to turn to find news on DA 3 news or Mass Effect 4 news.

Rather or not some of this is true or not remains unknown but some I have found also so it seems to coincide's with WhatNow's info.

Rather or not it is true or not is the main question hopefully Bioware will confirm this.

Also WhatNow seemed to forgot to mention Background Choices such as Origins but we can still only be HUMAN/MALE or Fem again & also like before only MAGE, WARRIOR and lastly ROGUE.

2 really started building on Sandal's mystique. Can't imagine we wouldn't learn a lot more in 3.

maybe not good characters, but that last bit was damn good thing for how to build a hero. technically, anyone can kill a dragon(<insert whatever big scary monster you want here). but only someone with the will to persevere to the very ends of the earth, who would continue to stand until the ground withers away from under them, is deserving of the title of hero.

a hero is not born. they are made by their deeds.

Why can't people who just kill big monsters be heroes?

because then the population of the world of monster hunter are greater heroes than most other game's worlds put together. killing a gigantic monster is an average tuesday for them.

A site I get my games online has Dragon Age 3 listed for PS3 & 360 Showing TBD 2013 also it has a desription of the game detailing its use of Frostbite 2 also Frostbite 2 is a current-gen engine not a next-gen engine.

Further Proof Keeping Saves from previous games Origins & 2, thus are Original Hawke & Warden will somehow be seen & used in DA 3 although 3 will once again feature a new MC altogether unknown who.

What is also known is the new Backgrounds similar towards Origins this changes 3s POV deal each time the game is diffrent based on the Background we choose. Most likley Inquistion, Slave, Thieft and others maybe also Nobility.

Sadly we are still like with DA 2 Human only and just like with 2 can only be MAGE, WARRIOR, & lastly ROGUE.

So dont fret DA 3 wil be on this gen so will Saints Row 4. The IGN.com article isnt the real deal that guy isnt even with EA/Bioware he was with EA but that can be the same deal like someone who is under THQ say a WWE guy saying hey I know all about Saints Row 4 when in reality they probably dont.

They are just under the same umbrella EA such as it is with THQ, SONY, or Nintendo they have diffrent deals they just are under the same Corporation.

People until things are confirmed by Bioware, DA 3 is still on track for Late 2013, The game has been in the works for quite sometime and is the longest game in devolopment history under Bioware meanng it has been in the works longer than Origins was.

From what I have seen DA 3 will deliver, and it will push Current-Gen consoles to the make but I hope it will not be a Skyrim Clone I am glad DA 3 is going to be Open World such as Fallout or Skyrim but I do hope it will be its own deal not a clone.

Customization and Castle Customization is also new also Civil War in Orlais.

I guess each deal in DA 3 will change each time based on your MCs Background choices. Dialogue will also change.

Hopefully Varric will return to Narrate DA 3.

From Kotaku by way of OXM:

Thank God, Dragon Age 3’s Visual Improvements Include Less Brown And A New Engine

The first two Dragon Age titles? Not so hot, visually. That's about to change.

Bioware's Neil Thompson recently spoke with OXM UK about the upcoming Dragon Age sequel and its visual upgrade. Thanks to DICE's Frostbite 2 engine, the Bioware team has been able to do "some amazing stuff," enough that he reckons that when they finally release screenshots, "people won't be disappointed." So what do some of the improvements include?

    Less brown.

"Can you make fantasy beautiful in a different way? We think we have something special for Dragon Age 3: Inquisition," he mused, adding that the game will shun the "subdued colour palette and harsh brown feel" typical of much current fantasy media.

Good to hear. I don't want more brown games. The signature buckets of blood in Dragon Age would look better with a more colorful backdrop, don't you think?

I'm also curious to see Dragon Age on an updated engine. Will it match the beauty of the concept art we've seen so far? Hopefully.

I cannot wait to get this game. I like the cover for the case. I loved Dragon Age Origins and dragon age 2 I have not played yet because my Playstation 3 got stolen. I have to get one for my brithday so I can try this game out when it's released and play dragon age 2 for the first time.

Is any Dragon Age Origins or Dragon Age 2 characters going to be playable in this game why or why not? Thanks

well, we cannot say who since bioware themselves not yet release the characters list to public

the only character that i'm 100% positive will be in dragon age 3 is bodahn and sandal (since they going to orlais in the end of dragon age 2)

but the character i would like to be in DA3 is varric and isabella

i got this from dragon wiki http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:IlidanDA/Dragon_Age_III_-_DLC_with_a_new_hero%3F_Why_not

It seen we will be using a human again instaid of the race characters and thinking of making the race as a DLC expansion like the darkspawn chronical or leliana's song.

Bottom line is we gonna have a other human protagonist again similar to hawkes, seen like that bioware have decide to pull a mass effect on dragon age like they did on da2,that mean we wont be using any of the 3 other races,so we may ended up playing a religious noble or a commoner in that one (not really sure but that how it seen when i read that)

It'd be interesting if they give us the option of creating a character who already has a personal stake in the Mage-Templar war. Mage protagonists siding with mages is a given, but perhaps we could have a mage who for whatever reason sides with the templars. Going further, maybe give us the option to build a character who already comes with a specialization (I'm mostly thinking about Blood Mage or Templar for obvious reasons). It'd be nice to see those specializations finally have some story impact. No one in either games responded at all if you took either, and considering all the Mage vs. Templar overtones in DAII, you'd think characters would at least respond to a mage Hawke running all over Kirkwall and beyond (it only rarely comes up in conversation that you're a mage). My mage, in particular, was a Blood Mage as well, and it was odd that no one made mention of it.

Developer indicates that there will be quite a bit of customization in the game:

No mention during the PS4 introduction... I have a feeling it'll either be next gen, or be available for both.

Here is the info I have uncovered although not confirmed

    4x World Larger Map
Previous Saves will be Imported Into Dragon Age 3 causing greater Impact
Huge Amounts of new Customization Options from Armors to Castle Customization

    10 Man Squad

    Flemeth will return

Bohdan, Sandal & Morrigan have been hinted at but not confirmed

The Main Setting is in Orlais & all is not well a Civil War has begun in Orlais about Factions fighting for control & has connections to the Novel ASUNDER.

You can customize your Armors Colors could be similar towards Wiis Last Storys customization.

A New MP Mode has been added with an Arena feel you can even become a Dragon.

The story of Dragon Age 3 is saving the World from itself basically Hell on Thedas everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

The Templars have Left, the Mages have Rebelled, Mysterious Portals have sprung up across Thedas releasing hoards of Darkspawns & Demons.

The Chantry is about to Crumble and the Mysterious Inquistion Order has Appeared.
Lastly Civil War has engulfed Orlais.

This info is based off of stuff I have pieced together found and compiled although not confirmed it is stuff I have researched.

My additonal research has me to believe that Dragon Age 3 is going to be DUAL GENERATION across all Platforms such as Destiny. Thnink PS3/PS4, 720 & 360 just like how Bunjie is doing with DESTINY.

Also keep in mind they told us to keep our saves this wouldnt work on next gen.
