Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II User Review
After TLOG's epic fail, I was unsure about a sequel. Thankfully, with Atari at the reins, it's changed for the better.

- The Bottom Line:
- "Surprisingly good"
The Legacy of Goku 2 takes place after Frieza has been defeated. You get to play as 5 characters now: Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and Piccolo.
The best thing about this game is that the control has been fixed tremendously. You can now run, move in 8 directions, throw volleys of basic energy blasts, and the melee combat isn't as stiff anymore. You can also unlock special melee abilities for all 5 characters by seeing Master Roshi. What's also great is that each character can transform. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks can transform into Super Saiyans, while Piccolo can become a Super Namek. Their speed and power greatly increase, but it only lasts for a limited time. Each character has their own special abilities when it comes to energy blasts. But, I won't spoil it any more than that.
The music is mainly from Bruce Faulconer's soundtrack for the anime, along with some original tracks for different areas in the game.
A much better sequel than I had ever expected, and I'm glad Atari is working with this franchise now.
Things can only go up.
