Words cannot describe how great this game is. The battles are simple, yet effective, the character/monster designs are superb, the storyline is top-nocth, and the voice acting is pure win.
If you like Dragon Quest, and if you ESPECIALLY like 'old-school' RPGs, you MUST play this game! It hardly has any faults, if any. I definately recommend this game for ANY RPG fan.
Graphics: Cell-shaded. That alone should make it good.
Music: The music is amazing. The orcheastra-style tunes are some of the best pieces I've ever heard.
Plot: If you think it's just about an evil jester....well, I won't spoil anything, but there's a LOT more to the story then you may think.
Voice Acting: I have NEVER heard better voice-acting then this game. The voices of your party bring their personalities to life, and COR BLIMEY is quite possibly the best line ever written.
All in all, this game is a MUST PLAY for any avid gamer.

My 1st impressions after beating Dragon Quest 8. A very slow start that ends up being nonstop play when its on a roll.

A fun game, I am glad I got it, initially got it for the FFXII demo but play the game more than anything now
