Im thinking about purchasing this game, but from what im reading in other posts it seems like this game freezes and crashes alot. Would it be worth it to buy this game right now or should i wait?

It only crashes in survival, the challenges and story levels are fine, as for booting, i'm sure a few people here would be happy to play with you, but you can't rely on a random lobby.

I normally host my own matches, then get rid of the incompetent players. Most of the high level players are capable of following the gameplan.

The base game only has issues freezing in teh survival modes. It also can delete save data at times, so you mustbe careful not to dashboard the game while it is ever saving. There are a host of other small bugs in teh base version. This is why it was patched. If you download teh patch, it fixes some of tehse issues and others it does not. Survival still freezes, and the DLC maps now tend to crash if you play with more than 2 poeple. The game is in desperate need of another patch that will actually fix many of the current issues with game stability, and player demanded tweeks to make teh game more fun and less boring in parts (i.e. like upgrading).
On the other hand, the base game and the patched game will both still play fine enough that you can get far more than your money's worth out of this title. If you like RPGs, tower defense games, and shooters...you would be amiss to pass up this title. It is trully a great game IMO.

I think I'm one of the lucky ones because I have never had the game crash. I have had it since it came out and it has never crashed on me. I don't usually try for glitches or cheats eaither so that could be a difference. Even on survival, I have several giraffes and have never had a crash. There are some annoying glitches but you probably won't notice many unless you look for them or you have been playing for awhile. The game is great but does get a little old post 70. I wish the game was more strategy based. Most people I meet are addicted to treating the game as an action adventure shooter, playing call of duty with their huntress and throwing up simple squire towers. If you set up the game right you can do both strategy and shooter style play. It still amazes me on how often I run into people online post 70 that really have no idea what they are doing but used overpowers characters (huntresses) to pave their way. That being said, this game is what you make of it and their are several different styles play it. For 15$ I would say its a steal. It's much better than some games I paid 60$ for.
