Just wondering if there is a difference. The tanks with more Shield that Armor or vice versa?

it depends.
If it's anything like EVE (which it is), there are Armor tanks and there are Shield tanks. Generally Caldari are Shield, Gallente/Amarr are Armor, and Minmatar can be either one.
Check the stats, and be sure to fit Hardeners (that increase the Resistance from various damage types) and either Rechargers or Repairers depending on if you're shield or armor tanked, respectively.
Atm there may be a *better* one, but by launch CCP will try to have them relatively balanced, I'm sure, and there will be Armor fanboys and Shield fanboys.
