Can I Start Hard Difficulty w/ All the Upgrades?

I beat normal and want to start hard, but I'm afraid I'll lose all my upgrades and other collectibles. Will I...
1) Be able to get the trophy for hard by starting on the first level from chapter select?
2) Keep everything if I do start from chapter select?
