It seems games most days take a action approach to gameplay, while that is not a bad thing, a game that can take time to show a world of true beauty is few and far between. enslaved does just that without letting up off the action of the game. The story is not bad either.
You play as a man who has no name, he only goes by the name of Monkey, which he recieved from climbing. He somehow ends of on a slaver ship, where they put headbands on people to enslave them. Trip a young girl escapes and Monkey follows. Trip escapes the ship and Monkey does to hanging on for dear life. Once Monkey wakes up he complains about a trobbing headache only to realize that Trip has put a slaveband on his head, if he so much even leaves her side she can kill him. She promises that if Monkey helps her home then she will remove the band, but what ends of being a simple journey home takes detour.
The game does well to separate itself from other games of its kind. Monkey uses a staff to combat enemies, he has both normal and power attacks, as well as attacks that can counter, Through charges, he can stun enemies or blow them up, as well as surrounding enemies itself. Trip is no pushover though will it is Monkey's main task to make sure she stays alive Trip comes with her own unique abilities as well. She can create a decoy temporarly distracting and enemy, so Monkey may sneak past gunfire that would otherwise kill him. The platforming in the game reminds me much of Uncharted games as it does require a lot of jumping from wall to wall and ledge to ledge, Monkey also has a device that he uses called a cloud which allows him to cross trecherous area's like poisoned water.
If your a fan of action games this a game for you, if you looking for a unquie and beatiful experience thorugh a post apocatlyptic world this game is a must play. Your looking at one of the most beatiful worlds this gen has to offer and Enslaved will no doubt go down as being a beatiful game. Those of you interested might recognize Monkey's voice as Andy Serkis, the voice of Smeagal from Lord of the Rings. Trip is also voiced by Lindsay Shaw best know for her role in the nickelodon tv show Ned's Declasiffied. Enslaved has grown on me and left so many good impressions on me, its one of my favorite games this gen. 9.0/10

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a fairly enjoyable and colorful game that isn't amazing by any means, but still decent.

Ninja Theory seems to be improving with each game, but overall their games tend to crash brutally towards the end.
