I've looked through the scores for this game and the opinion is mixed but i personal think it's a good game. This is by far the best game made paradox because the other game by this company are just boring. Plus strategy games are usually just conquer the enemy meaning they can get old fast but this game at the least tries to be different.

Having good graphics and good map system plus being any country in the world makes it fun but the problem is the coast of things. This game is incredibly hard when you only have a few gold when everything is attacking you. Fortunately their is a cheat code for that and that makes the game playable. I enjoy building colonial empires and building up navies. Lastly this game does let you use politics. This can be very good or very bad. You can control other countries and refuse to let countries pass through your lands. Then theirs trade but this is something in almost every game in this genre. the game is worth a try but rent it or get a demo first.
