Excellent. I don't get why it got a 6. Of course, it's not supposed to compete with Oblivion, it's different.

    It's the most original medeival RPG I've ever had the chance of playing...mounted combat,skill trees,hundreds of items,strategy elements,open battles,sieges,politics,what-not..it's a must-play.

I Have not tried the Beta Test, it's still downloading... but I have already played the Demo... a lot! :p

To be honest one of the many things that has appealed to me in this game is exactly the absence of a story line!

Extraordinary game, very addictive! You can try different approaches every time you play. Strategy and Tactics in battle really makes a difference in Mount & Blade.

I'm a sucker for owning the box and the DVD, so I´m just waiting for the game to appear in the shop next to me to buy it!

    Mount&Blade Beta Test

Right I played Mount&Blade since V.640 although much has changed since then it is still the same boring game .I mean were is the story line like in Titan Quest,Oblivion,Knights of the Temple to name
a few great games in the same genre(RPG) .The game was very nice when I started playing it back with V.640 but when I started the beta it was more like a punishment playing it really. It was so boring 30-60 minutes was nice playing Knights and Robers but after that it was toucher playing it man.

Almost every thing sucked there were bugs galore Graphic and non-Graphic .Once I was engaged in a battle with 20 Mountain Bandits and there arrows hung in mid air I just took shelter behind this kinda invisible rock waited for there arrows to run out and butcher d them all .On a another
occasion I battled some deserters and all the scrubs were like trees I could not ride over them but instead I crashed into them and because of this I lost the battle.

Moving on to playability the game does give some freedom in this department but not to much
like it would be cool to be able to train your very own troops and not at the end of every day just get some message that your men have received 20 XP .Also I want breakable weapons like in
Oblivion and also to be able to chop some one up into little pieces .And you should be able
to kill or trade a captured King or noble for example you captured King Yargolek and take him to
some Veagar noble to exchange him for cash or goods and at random intervals let say you walk
into a trap set by the noble men and escape only with your life this no doubt will bring some excitement
    into the game.

When I look at the Graphic quality it looks carp it's 2008 we want games that not only looks good but plays good as well so go buy a unreal engine license or some thing because Telltale's visuals are not all that hot .

Right so I talked about all the bad things so lets look at the brighter side shall we?

The training grounds are really good to there early counterparts on in this version you get training
in archery, sword fighting, horse archery and horse back fighting this is one of I think best aspects
of the game it's the training so please the training's fine work on the rest of the game.

    Some fresh ideas?

When you try to persuade some one you must be able to talk to them your self like the talking system in Law & Order:The Vengeful Hart were you try to persuade people with sentences in a box
when you say the right thing the person is more willing to tell you stuff were as you use the wrong words they'll close up and shut up telling you noting a system like this is needed in Mount&Blade .Well and some more diversity in weapons and armor won't hurt.

    Overview

This is not a game I would buy because here in South-Africa we pay form 300-400 bucks for a new game(roughly 38-50 dollars)then a year a so after release Ubisoft buys it and puts it on sale for a100 bucks(roughly 13 dollars) when it is cheap I'll consider buying it but I'll give it 5.5/10 it's nice playing
maybe for a day after that the lack of a story line rips out its hart and is leaft to die a slow and pain full death.
