Ashfeild house in snowglobe glitched?...Help?

This is from Kraiz's See the Future FAQ posted on GameFAQs:
This seems like a fairly common glitch, unfortunately the best advice I can
give you is to reload from a previous save. If that doesn't work try going back
to the rabbit hole and seeing if the game will let you get another key. When
you get a second key go into 'The Well' and kill at least one Shadow and the
door should open up for you.
