Yeah I still browse, and post occasionally. Saw a new Fable game coming, and knew I had to make a mafia post. How's life, man?

Same bull as usual. College professors being egotistical, frat boys found naked in dorm halls, and the occasional ^_-

How about you, you adventure to any other fanciful countries I greatly desire to go to?

Oh, I've been trying to get into the art scene because of my friend (though I don't think she wanted me read up on this particularly) and I thought you might get a kick out of this street artist, Banksy, seeing how you're an art teacher and thoroughly enjoy humorous anecdotes.

Oh I know all about Banksy, Street Art is one of my favorite art forms (and previously, one of my favorite hobbies). If you like his work and his message, I suggest watching the documentary 'Exit Through the Gift Shop', I imagine you'll dig it.

And yeah, I went to France and Spain over the last summer! Was great, though I have to admit I didn't enjoy France as much as I'd hoped I would. Spain was cool too, but that was less culture and more adventure, as we spent more time hiking and camping and exploring than we did sightseeing.

Yeah, I saw that documentary last month and it was great! I love the fact that he put up that Guantanamo bay blowup doll in Dysneyland and went on rides. Banksy is a true badass.

Sounds like you had a good time out there, I can't wait to get out there myself, I already have a few people who are willing to let me stay with them in Japan and Germany. Can't wait! >.<

In Japan, I got to check out the Shibuya district, it's supposed to have an interesting social scene as well as some great food (I love me some Asian food). I'm also interested about their social construct in Japan, I hear it's quite dynamic.

Germany, I don't know much about the country aside from the fact that their culture is very famous for their alcoholic roots (I'll leave the sight seeing portion to my friend).

In Rome I want to see the Colosseum and my friend is insisting I check out the Tower of Hercules.

All in all, I think the trip to Japan might be a little more to my liking (hoping to go during the Cherry Blossom festival, moar fooooood) I have way more people to show me around.

Japan would be very cool, no doubt! I'm thinking of doing the JET program for some work experience abroad (and money, it pays well!), so long as I can convince my girlfriend to come along. She seems to be warming up to it though!

I'd just have to watch out for various natural disasters... and kancho >_>

So aside from the same bull as usual, how's college going?

lmao Kancho made for a very interesting google search, glad I haven't personally experienced that yet.

College is, annoying, summed up in one word.

Right now a girl is particularly making me want to kill small woodland creatures with pointy objects, one of my professors led much of my class to believe that she might be going through some midlife identity crisis (but that's okay because she doesn't give us any work), and everyday when I talk to my friends during a break, a mentally handicapped kid walks up to me and says, "Heyyyy, cigarette? *pause for 5 seconds* Now?" I look at him and tell him "I don't smoke, this is about the 300th time in the two years you've kept asking me that". He than proceeds to harrass my friends and the cycle of life goes on.

And as for the JET program, you should totally do it! I knew someone who transferred there for a year from Stanford and he said it was the best experience of his life, though he had to get used to the earthquakes and despised seafood.

I hope your girl doesn't keep you from going, it should be an awesome f'ing experience. But unfortunately, they have powers well beyond us which we must always submit...

Even if it might be annoying right now, savor what you've got in college. It was the best time of my life, and though I remember all the difficulties, it's the great fun I had that really stands out now that it's all over. I'd do college again if I could!

But I've got a lot to look forward to now, too, because it's confirmed now: I'm going to Japan next year! At least, I'm going to apply, but considering I'm already a certified teacher with experience teaching language, I think it's unlikely they'll turn me away. Girlfriend is coming too! I'm so excited!

    Congratulations! You'll have a blast I'm sure

So do you have any ideas as to whether or not the program will house you anywhere or would you just find your own place?

The house me. They pay my rent too, which is pretty awesome. I'm on my own for supplies, but there's an entire system in place designed to help me out.
