2: this is gonna be my second playthrough of his game cause i just not too long ago finished this game as a big guns character? how many times have you played this game in a row if you have or not lol

No reason to limit yourself to one weapon type when it's so ridiculously easy to max everything out.

If you have Broken Steel, pure Unarmed will indeed be very tough when it comes to taking on the new enemies. Paralyzing Palm is mandatory for sure, but even that isn't 100% reliable and won't save you against multiple enemies. Adding Melee gives you access to the single most damaging weapon (save for the mini-nuke launchers) in the game, Jack. It does quite a bit more damage than the Deathclaw Gauntlet, the strongest Unarmed weapon, but I don't think you need to do it. If Unarmed is what you want, go with that. Plunkett's Valid Points are great for activating PP.

To be able to get by, I imagine you would want to use drugs frequently to deal with tougher foes, have maxed out Damage Resistance (i.e. take Toughess, Cyborg), abuse Paralyzing Palm, have maxed out Endurance (for health) and maybe take Life Giver too. High Critical Chance and Better Criticals are mandatory to make the most use of the DG's huge multiplier.

how well would i do against DeathClaws and such i depends what i add as skills i know but did you have a hard time when you played as a melee character or an unarmed character? most likely ill have too abuse some drugs but are any other skills needed? should i have max luck too make sure i get those heavy hits in?

You could say the same about New Vegas.

no you wont have any problem in any build. I have played through many times, and once played through on hard mode only using fists and no weapons what so ever. Still did fine. Early on you'll have a tough time taking down foes simply because it takes a while to beat up a mirelurk with just fists hehe

but you'll be fine with any build you want to do.

I agree. One of the major flaws with the game that carried over from FO3.
