One of my most favorite games of all time due the possibilities, physics and uniqueness. First off this is the only first person shooter I have ever played but was in a sandbox free roam world. It truly is a great single player experience. Some great things is the free roam ability, you can be anywhere you want in the world you have to play in at any point in the game. Now the physics are amazing presented in Farcry 2. For instance in a lot or almost all games if you throw a Molotov cocktail on the ground it makes a small fire around the point where you threw it. But here if you do the same thing the fire spreads and burns grass, bushes and go up trees and burn them too. That's not it when you burn grass, bushes and shoot limbs from trees they regrow. There is a realistic weather system were the wind don't just blow one way and everything moves as its own piece not as a whole group. Weapons rust and wear down if you use it a while and will jam on you when done so and in worst case scenario break on you, vehicles wear and tear as well. A few bad points of the campaign is most missions don't vary. And random fights occur forcing you to get out of your car and kill them and if you don't your car will get destroyed. In the process you can get ran over by them and happens quite often and happens numerous times over a point just getting to your mission.
There is a multiplayer is good but not Halo 3 or Call of Duty excellence. Now one of the or the biggest points of this game is the very great map editor. And these maps can be used to play the multiplayer on instead of playing the same twelve maps over and over. There is a lot of variety with it, but there is a down side to the editor. If you don't practice or learn how to use it well your maps will look amateur. But once you got a hang of it or mastered you can make great looking maps. Now I have seen map replicas from Halo, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Vegas, Gears of War and more, and they look identical. I have also seen space stations, pirate ships, battle ships, cities, forests, mountains, war torn and also ones with theatrical elements like transformers, aliens, spiders and robots. So it is the most extensive map editor and most varied multiplayer.
Summary: Great open ended campaign with realistic and unique physics, just with a few annoyances throughout. Fun multiplayer but not Halo or Call of Duty caliber. Best map editor ever in game history with so much variety.

Great graphics but story lacks focus. Has mission bugs and annoying enemy respawns after you clear an area.

A good looking game with some good ideas but has a dull story and annoying features that slows the action down.
