Far Cry 3 represents the death of FPS, and the beginnings of the *Role Play Shooter* genre.

They nearly got it right with Far Cry 2, but the mix of Role Play and First Person Shooter was not perfectly balance. With Far Cry 3 they have nailed the concept. From the moment the game starts, you can easily imagine your self in the shoes of the main character, fighting for you life in an unforgiving island, with pirates and animals constantly trying to kill you.
The survival elements, mixes with the game-play without interruption, or long painful grinding. You can easily go from one mission to the other, and kill what you need for your upgrades in you way there.
The side missions are fun to do, and they make your journey allot easier. Capturing a base or killing a rare animal, is not an obligation, is something that you want to do because is fun.
The tattoo leveling up system is well balanced, and never interrupts you progress through the game, the abilities you gain are useful but not necessary.
The story is a huge improvement, and resembles the original plot from Far Cry 1. The NPC's are likeable, fresh ,and the Insanity moments are both intriguing and fun to watch.
Say bye bye to FPS boys and girls, and say hello to RPS. Welcome to the Future.

This game is a free paced game where you can go anywhere you want. Swim with sharks, kill animals and many more.

Far Cry 3 isn't what it's cracked up to be by critics, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game.
