41212 player formation cards

just wondering what everyone thinks is the best way to get value out of 41212 player formation cards. i know they sell for a high price so is it better to sell them or by a player in a different formation, use the card on him the sell him on for more.

I've not tried this but I would have thought it'd be better to sell the card itself instead of applying it to a player. Applying it to a player will increase their value but only by a significant amount on very valuable players. For example, if you applied it to Wesley Sneijder (87 rated, worth about 15k) you'll probably only get a couple thousand coins extra. If you applied it to Eden Hazard (also 87 rated, worth about 120k) you could increase his value by the same amount as selling the card on its own or maybe a bit more.
