As it's been proven via youtube videos & as people get their hands on it, it's being confirmed this is the same game Vita got at release. With Updated roster & intro... THAT's IT! even the menus are the same & no new gamemodes or graphical updates.
EA will continue to do this until people realize that you are being robbed.

Do you have any links to this?
An EA statement recently said it would use the FIFA '13 engine but wouldn't feature Ultimate Team.
I'm not doubting you, it makes senses given the severe lack of bravado regarding the Vita version.

This is ridiculous! wtf are they thinking..
If this is true, eff EA. I won't even buy it for PS3. Moving to PES.
Since FIFA is the only available soccer game on vita, EA is just fking with the vita users...

I can't believe you guys are surprised at this. You're shocked? Really?
The game comes out tomorrow and there has been ZERO info about the game. I haven't even seen a freakin' screenshot! If they were confident in their game, info would have been flowing out the past few months but there has been nothing. No surprise here.

assuming the worst of the rumors are true...
you know what i'm going to do is go ahead and buy the game, and then if LITERALLY NOTHING was/is changed except rosters, i'm then going to write EA and raise hell and demand for my money back. the reason i'm thinking about doing this is they've stated numerous times seen in various adverts for this Vita game that this years version would indeed at least have the new engine or something at least improved upon over last years version. and that's not even talking about any of the newer modes that were/are also advertised as being in the this years Vita version!!
because if it is true that the Vita version of FIFA 13 is the EXACT same... with not even an animation or two added... that's completely BS and uncalled for!!! there's no excuse for this type of pure laziness, especially when you have the tech of the PS Vita to work with!!
last year around the time of the Vita's launch, EA was at various gaming events showing off demo's/gameplay of FIFA for the Vita. what we saw then at those events AND what was described to us by the games devs was a game that seemed to have had a lot of time and work and skill put into the making of it. why any of that attention was diminished or taken away from this years version is simply cruel... there's no valid reason to give for such a lack in quality!!! and i think we as fans of the this game, and fans of the Vita, should at least let them know that what they have done this year (if the rumors are true) should not be repeated or practiced during the making of any future FIFA PS Vita title OR for that matter ANY other game, period!!
i just hope to god i'm wrong about all of this??!!

If you read the comments, a good amount of people think it's fake. I guess we'll find out today though.

Look for "KingOfNassau11" videos in Youtube & then tell me it's fake... It confirms what we already knew this game is a rip off unless you want to play with the Saudi Arabian league...

I have both FIFA Soccer and FIFA 13 for PS Vita.
At the first glance, both versions look the same. The menu options are identical, so the Skill Games are out which is a shame cos' they would be great for short bursts while on the train.
However, there is a noticeable difference when the players contest for the ball. In FIFA Soccer, it has that arcadey feel like 2 animations going after the ball. On the other hand, IN FIFA 13 the players feel like real physical objects interacting with each other. It just looks and feels more life-like in FIFA 13.
The other noticeable change is that the ball has more free play and it is no longer magnetically attached to the players' feet. It is now easier to regain possession of the ball from the opponent or easily lose it.
A Day 1 patch has been released (version 1.01) which addressed several stability and performance issues for FIFA 13 on the PS Vita. FIFA Soccer is still stuck at version 1.00. If it is just a roster change and a new video intro, why need a performance and stability patch? This is further evidence that the game code are not identical.
In short, FIFA 13 is the refined version of FIFA Soccer. The subtle game play changes are underneath the hood and you need to get hands on to notice the difference. I found FIFA 13 to be a more realistic representation of the sport than FIFA Soccer, that's just my view.
If you do not own FIFA Soccer, then FIFA 13 is an easy recommend. For those who have the Vita launch title, it depends on how badly you need the latest team roster on the go. The EA team did try to make some improvements despite their tight schedule (the console versions come first), but you may not wish to pay the full retail price again for the minor upgrade. If it is the latter, then sit tight and wait for the next portable version in 2014.

Hi German_Enigma. Thanks for posting your thoughts, it's incredibly helpful, especially with the lack of news/reviews for the vita version. So does this esentially mean most of the features from the console version are not on the vita version?
In particular, the ability to play with an international team in the career mode.
thanks!

Did they add any new motion? Shooting and tackling etc.
Also, have you tried going online yet?
Any improvements?
(when ppl quit during the match do they still get away without any penalty)
Please let me know. Big thanks in advance.

My biggest problem is that it uses legacy defending, I just don't want to have to switch between tactical defending and legacy defending since I will be playing the PS3 version

DeLorean83,
I don't have the copy yet, but someone already confirmed that career mode is exactly the same, including the bug that freezes your vita when you win a cup.
