Has SE really done anything wrong by not releasing Versus info? Is a company obligated to inform their (potential) and returning customers (if you've ever bought a non-used SE game, you're a returning customer) of development on X product? Do you believe in voting with your wallet (not purchasing low-quality products or supporting low-quality companies like SE) ?

well they have a right to not give information, but that can kill someone's interest in the game as well.

I agree. If you say you're going to make a game with this much interest, you have an obligation to your fans to keep them informed and and an obligation to yourself to keep them interested.
The only question now is what will we see first - Final Fantasy VII re-release or Versus XIII?
