Final Fantasy XIII. Check out this intro trailer from the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete boxed set.
Just look how majestic :01-:30 is...would be nice to explore all that land...here's to hoping FFXIII has a world map :D
@ chzchzchzwiz - I totally agree man. All I meant was that it reminded me specifically of Star Wars ( which is not a bad thing as I love Star Wars AND Final Fantasy ). I did not mean that it being futuristic would be it losing its identity.
Megusta. now if they woukld just release it in North America before I turn 40! @Element22ag I don't see how it being futuristic would mean its losing its identity. Not only are Final Fantasy's 7 & 8 futuristic, but Final Fantasy has never stuck with one singular type. That's what makes the series so unique, they put out the best RPGs on the market but they change most of the game play and design elements from one game to the next, keeping only the essential core in tact.
Nice, first trailer I've seen since the first one. Also, looking forward to getting Advent Children Complete!
I was reminded very much of Star Wars after watching this. Even though I love Star Wars, I hope Final Fantasy doesn't lose its identity! Also, I agree with "CMakaCreative"; I hate when games and CD's are announced like, 5 or 6 months ahead of time! I'd rather just hear about it once, and then not again until like a month or so before its release!
i cant wait for this game but im worried about a couple things, for instance almost everyone has a gun, and also that the characters will actually have something you can connect with
It's a shame that the Final Fantasy series is turning so western, some of the ideas are still amazing but I can't help but see it as a bit too much like Star Wars. The worst thing is the music; I don't know whether Nobuo is still involved, but the track in this trailer is depressingly generic. I'm still looking forward to it, it looks visually stunning (obviously) and there's room for a huge, open story. But the series seems to gradually be losing it's Japanese character.
Holy crap my faith has be restored that this game will be amazing. I for one am still hoping they do the FFVII remake (drools)
Every time time I think about FFXIII there's a strong urge to buy a ps3 XD This game is probably going to be awesome.
Soooo..... Once this ACC Box set comes stateside I might have to invest in a PS3. Biggest demo since Metal Gear Solid 2.
Why don't they just stop showing us these trailers & demo's we can't read. I think I've seen enough stuff to know I want this game yesterday. They should just keep it under wraps until about 2 weeks before they release it. I'm sorry folk....don't mind me....I just can't take the waiting.
I think FFXII was much better viewed as a follow-up to Vagrant Story. Its hardly a Final Fantasy game :/
I agree with blixke 100%. FF12 really did have no heart behind. FFX was the last great FF. This one is looking promising.
1 word: Amazing trailer. Finally The real succesor to FFX, FF12 was just plain crappy, Why? it had no heart nor soul, the story went from here to nowhere, and the hardest challenge in the game was to be afk for over an hour wile ure chars kill the 50 million bady. If FFXIII has even half the hearth that X had this game will easely be the best PS3 game (up till now)
