Final Fantasy XIV Online User Review
Broken for now, come back in 12-18 months. If it's still around, and SE listens like they promise, it will be great.

- The Bottom Line:
- "Broken"
Here's the skinny:
This game has huge potential. Given a little time, it is rather playable. However, a game is simply that, a game. What we have here is a living piece of art that you slowly get to add to, sort of like the Mystics at the begining of The Dark Crystal; slow, methodical, infintile, almost.
What we want is a game that draws and holds our attention like fire in the night, and we are but a moth tumbling gracefully to our halcyon of pastimes. Final Fantasy XIV simply does not do this.
The reason this is so seemingly unforgivable is that it represented this bright, shining hope of change and a different game that we have all been craving(let us not forget, many WoW players have Final Fantasy names).
I for one need to get over this feeling of being wronged (I was in beta even...) and move on. This game will be great once the many, many, many, many, many issues get resolved.
Simply put, it feels broken, and playing with broken toys, or armor, or swords, simply is not fun.

The latest 1.18 patch made the game worse! Only endgame players can play the game now, New players can not play at all..
