Union Leader Transfers

Below are some guidelines for Union Leader transfers.
A Union is eligible to have a leader change if one of the following is true:
... the Leader of the Union has been banned or has had their account deleted.
... the Leader of the Union has not signed into their GameSpot.com profile for the past 90 days.
... the Leader of the Union has requested to no longer be the Leader (see below for transferring leadership).
... the Leader of the Union has not kept their Union active in over 6 months.It is 'not' okay to request a transfer if:
... the Leader of the Union has been suspended.
... the Leader is having problems with usage of the site and cannot access the Union.Transferring Leadership
An existing leader can transfer their leadership by clicking the "Resign" link below the profile link in the Admin -> Members tab. If the leader wants to choose a specific person to take over, he/she may do so by clicking on the NEW LEADER link. However, if the leader is banned, they should contact Customer Support to request who the new leader should be (more details below).Inactive/Banned Leader - Request Election
Union members can elect a new Leader if the existing Leader was banned or has not active in the Union for over 90 days. A Union Officer should create a poll to vote for a new Leader. (See below for how to create a poll.) After the poll has had enough member votes, contact Customer Support with the Union name, url of the Union webpage, the original Leader's username, the future Leader's username and a link to the election poll that includes the results.How to Create a Poll
To create a poll, create a new topic and select "Create/Edit Poll »" at the bottom.Click here for an example of a poll.
