I got first info on an unannounced game by Sony! Other cool details on the PSN!
- Jun 16, 2007 12:35 pm GMTFor some reason I decided to take part in the e-rewards survey website for fun. Well one of the surveys I was recently asked to fill out was on gaming and I later found out it was obviously focused on Sony and the PS3. In particular, I was asked a lot of questions about my online preferences and my opinion on the capabilities of the PSN, downloadable game pricing, and episodic content. In the process of completing the survey I was able to find out some really cool new details.
1) We all know that Warhawk will be downloadable off the PSN and available in retail stores with a headset. Other options were retail versions without the headset and that the survey also had me consider the exact same options for SOCOM: Confrontation. Pricing options ranged from I believe $20 or $25 to $60 for downloadable titles, and $30 to $60 for retail versions with a headset. The most common pricing options were $30 for downloadable and $50 for the game with a headset. That doesnt set anything in stone but it suggested they are narrowing down the pricing to that 30-50 dollar range to me.
2) I was asked about my opinion of an upcoming game called Nine-to-Five. This game apparently will be the first downloadable title to implement Sony's plan for episodic content. The pricing structure was suggested at $5 for 1 episode or about $14 for all 4 episodes if you were to preorder the entire package at first. Each episode would be about 3 hours in playtime and be released once a month for four months straight. They included two screenshots which was kind of cartoony but I was unable to download them to my desktop from the webpage. I'm not technically savvy :D Here is some further information that they had that I was able to copy.
I've personally never heard of this game in any of the news outlets I visit so I thought I would share it with you all since I didn't see anything saying I could not talk about it. If you got questions let me know! This game to me sounds awesome and I will try it out just to see how episodic content will work!Nine-to-Five
Don't let the nine-to-five eat you alive: Fight back in this interactive sitcom in which you are the star. Kiss the boss's butt to avoid the chopping block. Pretend to laugh at the mailroom flunky's bad jokes. Make a move on a dreamy colleague. Every workday is a new adventure. With a nod to Dilbert and The Office, Nine-to-Five delivers top-shelf humor, outrageous storylines, and hilarious gameplay.

If true ...
Nine-to-Five sounds like an interesting concept. $5 an episode for about 15 hours of total play seems fair if the game is really cool. Hopefully it implements some things for good replay value too. I have a feeling that the game Eight Days might be episodic too.

Yeah. People make up lots of BS on these forums, and people are eating it like crazy. Just a few days ago someone claimed he had "inside info" of next Soul Calibur becoming a PS3 Exclusive

sorry for not responding sooner i was at a basketball game. anyways, i can't show you pictures or link anything because it was through a survey i took at erewards.com and for some reason i could not save the pictures to the desktop. i right clicked just about every part of them to hopefully get a different option to save it. thats about the extent of my technical expertise :(
you don't have to believe me, i really don't care. if you can tell i've been on this forum forever but i never post. i usually save it for when i have something decent to post. like im pretty sure i was the first to announce that home beta had started. i hate when people try to scam people in to some bull---t story too so I can only promise that I am not lying.
They also had price point questions on Pain and Nucleus ranging from free to $20 but that didnt seem like an important thing to write in the first post. Please do not speculate that either of those will actually be free. I'm pretty sure Sony was simply trying to find the optimal price point for either of those.

- Thanks for sharing your info. Any info can be deemed good or bad, I just welcome the sharing of it.

It's always things like this that put the "potential butter" on top of the "lying bread". There should be no reason for that happening.
I will try to beleive you though, till official word comes out.

His is the fury of the wildfire, the boiling blood of the volcano. He fights you not because you’ve wronged him, but because you’re there.
