I came accross this and thought it would be of interest. I for one was very saddened when the production of AIBO stopped as i didnt have enough income in 2006to get one...but i will def get this when it comes out!

In case you cant read it for some reason...This AIBO has voice command and can be activated by PSP like remote play...you can control its movement via internet and PSP and/or a PS3 controller. It is wirless and has a built in headcam with motion sensor and facial recognition. It can stream footage via wifi to your psp as you control it or "guard" your home and email you should it sense movement while you are away.SUPURB. The full feature list is given a 53% prob rating.

I cannot wait! Finally a use for my PS3 other then Blu Ray movies.

THE IMAGE IS VIEWABLE IN MY PROFILE...this awful post system wont let me use a pic in it for some reason!

And here is a Facebook link

I had an AIBO a couple of years ago, believe me, gets boring rather quickly.

I thought AIBO was this hot new operating system. I open the thread and find that it's just a fake dog...

rofl well i can understand that disapointment but i think some of you have yet to see how advanced these AIBO really are...not exactly a toy with a £1000+ price tag. But yes i agree, they prob do get boring after a while : (

Its not really "LAME", like alot of people that have PS3 i got it for a cheap Blu Ray player. Im not really into PS3 games yet-i prefer second gen games after they have ironed out the creases(yes it is the technologically one of the best things on earth), im not a PS3 gamer thats all.

Yeah it's quite technically advanced, but still it's too limited to act in an autonome way.
I noticed that the lighting in your house has to be perfect otherwise aibo mistakes a red wall or chair for his pink ball.
the voice commands also don't always work that well.
making aibo move with your pc is fun for a while, but after an hour you've seen it.
downloading new software for aibo is also fun, but the software is pretty limited most of the time, and switchiing memorysticks all the time is quite a pain.

I was only saying that because you said A use for PS3 other than BD.

If you said I'll be able to use PS3 for something other than BD, that's something else.

    Just poking fun.
