    Hey,

I need to make the list of the RPG's which I should try to own and play before I die. Please list 5 best RPG's from any platform which is still worth playing.

Note: Platforms I own are PC, PS2, PSP, Wii and DS.

    Thank you in advance.

Note: I listed the games which I ve already tried in my second posting somewhere below.

Note 2: Please, put special emphasis on the best of the best games so that I can prepare my "must own" list.

I grew up as a Nintendo gamer, so I don't have many suggestions for non-nintendo consoles buuut...

EDIT: just read the note, sorry about listing games for a console you don't have... but you can always try emulaters. Also, Final Fantasy I and II are in a one-cartridge deal for the GBA that you could play on your DS. I believe it's called "Final Fantasy I and II: Dawn of Souls" And I believe Crono Trigger was also put on the Playstation...

    NES
    Final Fantasy I

    SNES
    Final Fantasy II
    Crono Trigger
    Earthbound
    Super Mario RPG

    Playstation
    Final Fantasy 7
    Final Fantasy 8
    Final Fantasy 9
    Persona

Someone else could probably give you a better list, I was never that much of an RPGer myself. Those are just the really good ones that I know of, I haven't played all of them.

    PC:

    Kotor and Kotor 2.

    PS2:

Final Fantasy X, Haven't tried XII, but would like to

Dragon Quest VIII (If you have to buy a single game, this is it.)

    DS: (also includes GBA games)

Final Fantasy IV (The one coming out for DS at March's end)

FinalFantasy V & VI. VI was the best.

    Pokemon Diamond andPearl.

Not to worry I'll think of more.

    Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

    KotOR series.

Fable, though it's not really an RPG as much as action/adventure.

Some more, but I'll post them later.

Morrowind is definitely a game that never gets old. Especially if you have the two expansions... It's incredibly addicting, and it's very easy to get lost in the game for hours before realizing how long you've been playing. But I definitely wouldn't suggest it on the Xbox. You can heavily modify it on the PC version, and there's so many good mods out for it, that it would be a shame to buy it on the Xbox.

Chrono Trigger is a huge must play. Ranks right up there with FFVII in my book, but in some ways I think it has aged better.

Final Fantasy X has a crazy story that makes no sense and is amazing at the same time.

KoToR is just fun. Not a great story and the light/dark choices are kinda lame but being able to do whatever you want is always fun.

Any Pokemon game. They may seem childish but I picked one up last year (Good ole' blue) and remembered how addicting they are.

Kingdom Hearts 2. Again childish but somehow is a great game with a good story.

Final Fantasy VI. Incredible story, tons of great characters, funny, great enemies, just great.

Those would be my picks. FFXII is good but not incredible. Bioshock may not be a true RPG but still one of the best games I've played.

You have a PC, so that is all you need for the best RPGs:

    1.) Baldurs Gate I & II

    2.) Neverwinter Nights

3.) Knights of the Old Republic I & II

    4.) Morrowind

    5.) Oblivion
