    Anyone else suffers this problem, conserving all your best ammo only to complete the game with tons to spare.

    I give myself such a harder time by trying to melee when possible or shoot knees and knife them when there on the floor, only to complete the game with most of it spare.

    I mainly have this problem with the Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, it's funny but annoying when I think about it.

    ah, same here. and the worst is I do it against even last boss and when I complete the game and realize there is no usage for the items, or game+ , I think " WTF! Why TF do I have this many item?"

    its just torturing yourself

    Yes, I always do that, and when it's my first time and I get to the final boss, I say "there must be something worse next, I'll save some!" and end up with tons of ammo without even using the most powerful weapons....

    Yeah, I always conserve too much. But when you reach the end, it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

    I beat every Resident Evil, Every silent hill, and I do the same thing.

    "Oh god, I MUST use the pistol and knife only, I might NEED these 4000000 shotgun shells and 5000 first aid kits"

    I keep myself near death, always, and always fire sparingly, TOO sparingly.

    I dont know why, I always end the game with ridiculous amounts of stuff...

    It sucks that you get bad endings in some silent Hills if you your status is always low.

    Im sorry, I thought this was a realistic shooter.

    lol i do the same thing as you guys, pistol only, until im really low on health and havent saved in awhile, then i bring out the shotgun! :p

    shameful, I do that too... I was beating RE4 even without saving, but electricity was gone just at the point I was away from the last boss 5 minutes away... I beat it next day with 2 saves and again same tactics, but I used everything on last boss so it became very easy

    I try to conserve only the strong ammo and weapons. I never finished RE4 because i only had 4 shotgun shots and 8 pistol shots left on the boss on the bridge that falls. I also only had enough health to be hit once and still live but any more than that and i would die.

    Same here.The worst part about it is that it takes 20% more time to beat the game because i plan every move and ALWAYS take cover in order to save ammo!!!

    Glad to see I'm not the only one, will be playing RE:Nemesis soon.

    I will probably end up doing it again unfortunately.

    yup to be the pack rat that i'm i tend to save the good ones for last but then wont use em for all

    I usually do this until the end of the game and then just go Rambo up until the final boss. This problem however was even worse in the recent Silent Hill: Origins. Since melee weapons were made breakable, you have to horde them as well as firearms ammo. I finished the game with over 30 weapons, included 4 portable TVs.
