I think so but the anime is a different beast then the Manga. Where as I believe the Manga is still going on, the anime has an ending to its version of the story and I found it to be Satisfactory.

Yeah I know the anime ends around volume 9 or so (I think) of the manga (and make sup its own ending). So you haven't read the manga? If not I highly recommend it.

TBH, I found the anime boring, but I really liked the manga. Though, I haven't followed the series in over a year, so maybe that has changed. I didn't even know that the anime ended.

I have read some of it, I need to read more. Actually from what I understand its not like Berserk where the anime ends abruptly. Claymore actually has an ending in the anime. The later episodes do deviate from the Manga, and it ends the story. So the anime has its own ending....

The animes ending was a huge cop out and was inferior to the manga in every way.

Anyways, YC, go watch ERGO PROXY, yeah!

Aww c'mon, everyone knows what Ergo Proxy is

It's only one of the most well crafted and artistic mind****s in the history of anime spanning 23 episodes of epic goodness. It's short dude, just watch it. People give up after the first couple of episodes because it start out kind of slow, but the second of half of it is INCREDIBLE. It's one of the best things I've ever watched, anime or not.

Well, I don't know of too many Anime series, but I do know of a few Anime films, which include the following:

    1. Ghost in the Shell

    2. Ninja Scroll

    3. Akira

You've probably already seen these, but I can't really think of any others. I like a few series and films which happened to be anime, but I wouldn't say that I'm an overall fan. The only anime that I'm a huge fan of is DragonBall Z.

Ergo Proxy was weird, but it was alright. Maybe you should try Blue Gender, its basically Starship Troopers, but on Earth and there are small mechs used to fight them.

Try Black Lagoon, Gurren Lagann, Ghost in the Shell, and Cowboy Bepop. These are pretty much what every single person recommends in all these threads. (Because they're great.)

Here's just a list of anime that I like

    • yu yu hakusho
    • Hajime no Ippo
    • Bobobo-bobo-bobo (Really funny, don't bother watching if you don't like silly anime)
    • Prince of Tennis (I don't like tennis and enjoyed it)
    • Great Teacher Onizuka
    • Slam Dunk
    • Soul Eater
    • Fullmetal Alchemist
    • Hunter x Hunter
    • One Piece
    • Samurai Champloo
    • Rurouni Kenshin

You're bound to like at least a few of the animes in that list. On a side note, what made you love High School of the Dead?

    What's the plot frosty lol

It's very complex...It's like trying to explain the plot of Inception.

I'll try and summarize as best I can.

It's got a cyberpunk/steampunk thing going. So basically it's in a post-apocalyptic world with only a few functioning cities. The cities are all completely isolated from the world (like a bubble). They have robots and stuff doing all their bidding. The story is about a girl named Re-L, who is...the president of the city's daughter. She's all emo and she goes around fighting and investigating stuff because she has nothing better to do. But she comes across a monster-like being and it almost kills her. She figures out that it's called a proxy and she becomes obsessed with it because everyone is denying it was there or not helping her in any way with it. She also finds out that this guy named Vincent, and immigrant who's just trying to gain citizenship to the city, might be involved with the proxy.

Anyways, the story basically revolves around these two characters (Vincent is so much more important though, I consider him the real main character). They wind up getting tossed out of the bubble and try to figure out what the deal with the proxies are. That's like the bare bones of it, but there's SOOOOOOOOOO much more going on with this story.
